Previously, 84% of Texas Republicans—more than 1.8 million voters—endorsed @DefendTheGuard in a 2024 ballot proposition.
We’ve just conducted the largest straw poll imaginable for #DefendTheGuard—with over two MILLION participants! 🗳️ As part of the Texas Republican primary, voters were presented with Proposition 6: “The Texas Legislature should prohibit the deployment of the Texas National Guard to a foreign conflict unless Congress first formally declares war.” In a Texas-sized landslide, 84% of the electorate agreed! 🇺🇸 The Defend the Guard Act—which our organization has gotten introduced in over 30 states this year—is overwhelmingly popular with Americans! The people are tired of fighting endless, undeclared war and they want the integrity of their National Guard defended!

"Congress shall have Power, To declare War." Not the president. If Congress can vote to end a war and the executive just ignores it, the states are the last line — and Defend the Guard is the lever. No Declaration, No Guard. No Guard, no war. 👉 DefendTheGuard.US

Now, more than ever, we need Defend the Guard. The men and women we elect – both parties, no exceptions – are not worthy of the sacrifices made by our troops. If these chickenhawks are so hungry for war, let them line up. Grab a rifle. Lace up some boots. Square up against the foreign leaders they’ve got beef with and Live Action Role Play (LARP) their tough-guy fantasies until their hearts are content. Of course, we won’t give them real weapons. Lindsey Graham can bring his fairy princess magic wand from Disney World and Ted Cruz can use a foam sword from the Tel-Aviv airport gift shop the next time he flies overseas to demonstrate his true loyalties.
What if governors started refusing to send National Guard troops into undeclared wars overseas? Eric Brakey explains why he believes the Constitution is already on our side and why almost nobody in power wants to touch this issue.

“As senator for District 41 (Helena), I will support legislation to shut the war machine down at the state level by passing @DefendTheGuard—a simple, constitutional bill that requires Congress to legally declare war before it sends the Montana National Guard into war.” “This little bill has the power to bring the empire of the war machine to its knees.” THANK YOU 🇺🇸
As senator for district 41, using state power to stop unconstitutional wars will be a priority for me. And please Share share share! We are grassroots & we’re taking on a very powerful entity. Word of mouth is our greatest weapon.

You can hear Massie’s enthusiastic endorsement of our legislation, which would prohibit your National Guard from being deployed into combat for undeclared wars like Iran unless Congress has voted first. @DefendTheGuard has been introduced in over 30 states!
Yesterday @RepThomasMassie officially endorsed the #DefendTheGuard Act. This bill would prohibit the deployment of a state’s National Guard units into active combat without a declaration of war by Congress, as required by Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution. Rep. Massie is the third sitting member of Congress to endorse this legislation, following @RandPaul and @RepGosar. Our team of veterans at #BringOurTroopsHome has successfully organized the introduction of Defend the Guard bills in 24 states—in March, our bill passed the Arizona Senate with unanimous Republican support. Special thanks to @TRHLofficial who hosted the Twitter space where this audio was clipped from, and to  @MLiamMcCollum for asking the question. Read Rep. Massie’s full statement and listen to the audio below: “I have heard of it, and I love it. I've heard from some states, I actually had a legislator, a state senator, call me. One of the problems he said they have with passing this legislation is they get it to the floor [and] that some general will come in and testify and lobby in his uniform and intimidate the legislators. And then they'll say, 'Oh your Guard won't get as much money in your state if you do that. And we'll shut down this military contractor here,' and they go around, and not everybody falls for it, but a lot of them do. In fact, my Chief of Staff, Matt Gurtler, was a former Georgia state legislator. And he says they did that to them in Georgia. They tried to do it to him; I'm sure he didn't go for the pressure campaign. So, the question this state senator had for me is there any way I can help? And there may be some way, where we can bring this up in a hearing or something, or send a letter to [the] military, kind of brush them back from this pressure campaign where they threaten—maybe not explicitly but implicitly—and then scare all the state legislators against voting for it. But I love the legislation.” We must not allow generals to bully or intimidate the people’s representatives from following the law! We will end our unconstitutional endless wars. Thank you for your support Thomas Massie! 🇺🇸

In 2023, @MassieforKY endorsed our @DefendTheGuard Act. In his career, he has opposed unconstitutional wars in Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, Ukraine, Venezuela, and now Iran, along with all foreign aid. He's the most principled America First advocate in Washington. That record has made him the War Party's #1 target. Our Chairman @DanMcKnight30 weighs in on Tuesday's upcoming primary in Kentucky's 4th District, and why it's imperative for Americans of all backgrounds to visit MassieMoneyBomb.com and GIVE! We cannot afford to lose the last defender of our Founder's Constitution.

Last month at @RonPaulInstitut, our Chairman @DanMcKnight30 sat down with one of the conference's most incisive speakers, @_starkrealities. Brian McGlinchey is a U.S. Army and Pennsylvania National Guard veteran and independent journalist who's previously profiled @DefendTheGuard. He agrees that our legislation to prohibit the deployment of your National Guard unless Congress votes to declare war would prevent unconstitutional wars like Iran from starting. "I think it would have a tremendous influence. You take some of these vital pieces that they can plug and play when conflict is going, take those pieces off the table—I think it would really impair the ability." "Not to mention the political dynamic. The debates and stuff that would precede that movement: Okay we want to activate them, and you've got the controversy in the state capital, like 'Wait a minute! We can't do it!' The pushback, the attention, the dynamic to it, there's follow on effects even beyond just the immediate effect of vetoing it." "You get it in 4 states? The other 46 states are now looking at what's going on over there. And their National Guardsmen and the families of those National Guard soldiers, they're looking at what's happening in these other states [asking] 'Why don't we have that protection?'"
