📢 Miss our big announcement?
After 5 years of fighting for parents' and students' rights in education, we're leveling up. We've taken on rights violations through civil rights complaints and litigation. Now we're strengthening our work with a dedicated tool to fight back: the Center for Litigation and Legal Policy. 🏛️⚖️
Yesterday, @DefendingEd hosted a roundtable with elected officials including @RepFine, @chiproytx, and @RepWalberg, along with law students, to discuss ABA accreditation.
Republican representatives called out the @LCPSOfficial superintendent after he said it was "appropriate" for boys to share girls' spaces, citing the Biden-era Title IX rule as justification.
Documents from @DefendingEd show district staff communicated with CAIR about school engagement activities, including parent nights, & youth leadership programming. Read the full report:

Read our latest report, AccreditED, which documents how the ABA has used its monopoly power to embed DEI mandates throughout legal education, shaping who is admitted, who is hired, and what future lawyers are taught to believe.

Yesterday, @DefendingEd convened Republican Congressmen, law students, & staffers on Capitol Hill to identify the path toward reforming higher education.
What we learned: the path runs directly through accreditation, & public enemy no. 1 is the American Bar Association.
📺Watch Now—This is important: Defending Ed asks the Trump Administration to rescind a Biden-era Title IX rule, a Congressional hearing with top school districts on parental rights, and the latest NAEP scores— @esanzi covers it all in this week's education breakdown.👇
Yesterday House Education & Workforce Committee chaired by @RepWalberg held a hearing on the pernicious creep of liberal orthodoxy in public ed & questioned the Sups of Loudon, San Fran, & Chicago schools.
I wrote on it for @DefendingEd@realDailyWiredailywire.com/news/on-capito…
🚨 BREAKING: Documents obtained by @DefendingEd show how the Oregon Education Association is pushing progressive tax hikes on the wealthy, building political power, and funding left-wing activism while operating in the red.
Rep. Foxx: Do you think it's appropriate for boys to sleep in the same room as girls on field trips?
Loudoun Superintendent Aaron Spence: It's appropriate and lawful for transgender students to be able to be treated as their consistently identified gender.
Rep. Onder: Dr. Spence, yes or no. Should biological men be allowed in locker rooms with biologic women or girls?
Spence: Transgender women should be allowed in women's spaces.
Rep. Fine: Dr. Spence, do you use the women's restroom?
Spence: Of course not.
Rep. Fine: Why not?
Spence: Because I would never use a woman's restroom. I'm a male.
➡ Students at Worcester State who wanted to start a TPUSA club were DENIED.
➡️ A Christian teacher would be FORCED to teach new lessons that violate her beliefs.
➡️ Christian HS students were REFUSED permission to use school property for a worship event, when other religious events had already been held.
What happened next? @MAFamilyInst 's legal center got involved, and those wrongs were righted!

Aaron Spence of @LCPSOfficial falsely claims that Grimm v. Gloucester County requires schools to allow transgender students to access the locker room that aligns with their gender identity.
The Grimm court specifically indicated that locker rooms were not addressed in its ruling.
Would love to see the legal authority @LCPSOfficial is relying upon to claim that Title IX requires that boys be able to access girls’ locker rooms by claiming to be “transgender or gender expansive.”

Between 2016 and 2023, teachers’ unions directed $8.5B toward employee compensation, while many educators saw little movement in their own pay.
@DefendingEd’s compensation report highlights how much of union revenue is absorbed by internal payroll and operations instead of classroom-focused support.
