#T3BE B - despite being careful, breaking a law intended to protect others makes the clown cyclist negligent.

Wow. Not a word of regret or apology, just concern it made a bad "first impression".
Academia has SUCH a problem. People defending others who *admitted* to having issues working with women, especially PIs, and then expecting others to continue giving them chances. Absurd. /1

T3BE D. The duty is to take reasonable steps to find and fix hazards, not to cast Sphere of Invulnerability on every patron who enters.

#t3be A. The man can promise to clean the pool himself, but not bind all future owners to perform a service as part of owning the land just because the neighbour wants him to.

It's easy for academics to be cynical when management tells us to self-care, because guilt and responsibility drive us constantly towards overwork. But the message to prioritise based on our values has been consistent in both talk and policy for the last couple of years.

Days like today I'm particularly proud to work at @Griffith_Uni. VC to all staff "This week may be a difficult one, and I encourage you to prioritise your wellbeing and that of your families and neighbours ... we will trust you to do what work you can, where and when you can"

Engineers sometimes have odd ideas about humanities, arts and social sciences - they think qualitative data is 'subjective' and that arts = creative arts - so lots of room for mutual learning and conversations! (imo) #NotRocketScience

Already been asked for 'comments' to send to media types focussing on the Plymouth shooter's #mentalhealth. No idea if any of those responsible for it will take heed of my (or anyone else's) concerns, so here's my full (if hurried) take on the matter.

This is Nikolas. He’s an opera singer. Wanted to give everyone a little sample of what he’s been working on. 14/10

Shocked at how little engagement this technically excellent joke received. This must be like how Van Gogh felt churning out gold yet being so unappreciated in his lifetime.
More bad news for Labour as it turns out that they’re only legally allowed clusterfucks of up to 6 people until May 17th.

If you'll forgive the self-indulgent tweet for a moment... It's always great to get good reviews or endorsements from big names, but feedback like this? It's easily the best part of doing what I do. Genuinely makes it all worth it.
