End of a fantastic tour here in NE India with @BirdtourAsia and Mike Nelson … we were hampered with rainy and foggy conditions but this didn’t dampen the spirits too much . @AlanTwitch

Traveling in NE India with Birdtour Asia is bird filled and action packed but without mod cons 🫣… first day with WiFi and more importantly a soft comfortable bed 😂…Great birds … sorry you will have to tip your phone though

Honestly a fairly quiet year for me ( 2025) but a 3 week trip to Japan more than made up for missing a few UK ticks ….Blakiston’s Fish-Owl

Bufflehead showed so nicely this morning and such a stunning vista here at Fford Bay too …. Lots of people here I knew great to catch up . Pressure was off as I saw the Point of Ayr bird , but here was special.

We were fortunate during our Japan trip, whilst sailing back to Toyoko from
Miyama-jima we were surrounded by Streaked Shearwaters and also
C.20 Black-footed And a fantastic Laysan Albatrosses @zootherabirding ( Laysan Albatross picture from Nick) @keelebirder @AlanDaviesbirds

After 4 very hard days @spurnbirdobs … all due to unseasonably west winds….everyone here is so warm and welcoming. I headed home only for @marcbuzzard to find a fabulous Wryneck on the Orme . Enjoyed nice views with Robin and my father 😍

Had a great hour mushroom hunting in local woodland looking….obviously I only harvested ( very small amounts) and only known specimens…I left these stunning Fly Agaric to the slugs 😳😊#foraging

Top Tip …. Move to Wales and save a fortune on mowing your lawn when the local sheep do a good job ( for Free) 😆😆
