PFAS are a serious problem for drinking water treatment. Removing them from drinking water ($$) just moves the problem elsewhere. We don’t want them in wastewater or sludge either. Sludge incineration generates greenhouse gases. Need source control.
How to avoid the next Silent Spring? As shown by using #chemicalstripes in @EnvSciTech, #PFAS use started before #RachelCarson wrote Silent Spring in the 60s. ...Since then #persistent chemical pollution has gotten out of control. What do do? pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs… 1/4

Oil companies don’t (won’t) meet climate pledges. We have 3 strategic options. 1. Make, enforce tough regulations. (Politically impossible here). 2. Co-invest in a pre-competitive consortium and share R&D risk 3. Whine Only #2 will succeed. @FP_Champagne cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/p…

The last time @ongov waited to see how bad things would get before acting they ended up imposing capacity restrictions, delaying school reopening and surgeries were cancelled. Now is the time to : -promote & ramp up shot 3(&4) -encourage shot 1&2 for 5-11 -put masks back on
