I am so excited to start my new @Barts_Charity funded project investigating how menopause and HRT impacts upon immunity. But we are in need of volunteers to help with the study :)

@GNRailUK just had a very irritating experience at your train station in watton. All the machines can't take card as the internet is down. I asked at the ticket office what to do, and very unhelpful she said just use the Trainline app. Why isn't there a plan in place for this?

The ticket office says it was like this yesterday. Why hasn't a fix been put in place for people who use watton at stone station? I have missed my meetings now as I didn't have a way of buying a ticket.

@GNRailUK just had two very strange experiences with ticket inspectors on your trains in two days. The one today didn't speak, just had their earphones in and pointed at things. The one yesterday was wearing no identification at all and then took five minutes to get his id out.

What is with this poor customer service? Can you encourage your staff to speak and be polite and maybe show id. If I was alone on the train as a female I would have been quite intimidated and afraid.

Our newest paper is out! 🚨 We have uncovered multiple cellular senescence-associated defects in melanocytes and other cell types in Familial Melanoma Syndrome (FMS) patients with a p16 defect that makes them more susceptible to developing melanoma ⬇️ onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…

In keeping with previous work in the field, we observed that age was an important factor for vaccine immunogenicity. Increasing age was independently associated with lower anti-S antibody titres post-vaccination. No difference in cellular antigen specific immunity was (5/6)

Finally, we did not see any effect of biological sex or BMI on vaccine immunogenicity. However, we did fine that males had increased LPS stimulated IL-6 production and had lover naïve CD4 and CD8 T cells as compared to female (6/6).
