Thanks @EyeEaling I'm not at all in favour of LTNs but I'm very much in favour of well thought through active travel infrastructure.

Amazing, sincere & painfully honest account @LittleNinjaUK. We all owe you massive thanks for putting yourself out there like this.

Strange seeing ourselves on TV today. We hope @BBC viewers will join us in changing things to protect children of London & the UK. Let's end the LTN experiment that pushes traffic onto our most polluted roads, poisoning the kids at greatest risk of asthma & stunted lung growth.🙏🏾

St John's Church, in the video, is also the home of a very busy vaccination centre that has been operating throughout & continues to be busy. Its a 1 off & this area has improved dramatically since the removal of the ridiculously thought out & implemented without cause LTN.

I have kindly asked medics to have conversations with families who are frequent visitors to paediatric A&E for respiratory illnesses. Do they live near busy rds? Mould in their houses? Indoor air pollution? So much education yet to be had.
⁦@rosamund_ElsFdn⁩ tells ⁦@JackieDanielNHS⁩ that health professionals should learn more about the health impact of air pollution on their patients as she talks movingly about her daughters death from it #HealthyClimate #GreenerNHS

I follow a lot of people & I’ve no idea what Richard’s LTN politics are, but either way this just *has* to be a totally incontrovertible statement.
Climate protesters blocking cycle lane. #InsulateBritain truly are the stupidest protest group around.

This needs publicising - please share. Policy capture by a shouty minority with no heed for the concerns of their majority, diverse neighbours.
Croydon Council plans to push ahead with ANPR. Albert Rd area = 69% - 79% opposed. Holmesdale Rd area = 71 % - 84% opposed. Residents again ignored in favour of small group of divisive & well connected pro “LTN” campaigners. Is this ok @SteveReedMP?

And currently being bullied by a local Councillor for having the temerity to allow someone else to display a poster in the window on a blameless traffic topic. Really sinister, undemocratic thought control. Does @GaryChadwicks do online? I’ll order from him if so.

Such a sad indictment against the ableist privileged and entitled pro LTN lobby. They dont much like ethnics either. Or local businesses......
The energy needed to fight is often not available. I don't feel strong enough to fight these bastards on my own. Disabled people need to support one another. Mental health isn't great either - another battle. Quite often I just want to sob my heart out!

My road has been smashed with so much congestion that has made the national news. I post videos of it lasting upto 6 hours yet the below tweet is to question my integrity as it was not gridlocked at 8-17 am… so distressing being mocked when my children are suffering so much

No gridlock this morning. 8.17am

Very true @Bobby6817, which is what makes @BetterEaling’s video today misleading. If only the clientele of the average Hindu temple could manage to be generally less South Asian, with all the vehicular horrors that brings (apparently).

Another reason why more cars use this street is to access the Temple. On days of celebration like today there is an influx of people coming to use the Temple to celebrate which is lovely.

It’s Diwali & the vid is just outside one of the biggest Hindu temples in the area, Lewis. But that sort of little detail has always been a blind spot for @london_cycling cohorts, hasn’t it? @juliangbell @simonstill @psimonk
Yes you can clearly see those huge queues of…..no people at the vaccine centre in the background 🤣🤣

“Sent to us today”. As you know @BetterEaling @whyteshome this is just outside a major Hindu temple, *at Diwali*. Nearby roads eg Culmington are quiet. Will you withdraw this misleading vid, which misappropriates a major ethnic event? @_petermason @deirdrecostigan @JasbirAnand2

There are now no reasonable grounds to object to cycling offences being inc into the RTA. Supported by victims, families, the police, the judiciary & every minister I have met. Opposed only by a few confused militants who refuse to accept objective reality. Let’s get it done.

Interestingly the vast majority of 100 odd 'likes' are from white middle class males from outside of London who are cycling activists. There were 16 white middle class females, 2 ethnic minorities and a handful of logo based accounts.

Yes when the LTNs were in it really affected my husband’s asthma as Northfield Avenue was often packed with idling vehicles. His inhaler use increased significantly.

Going to RT this too, @BetterEaling?
Trying to reduce car use by increasing vehicle miles driven, traffic congestion, fuel burnt & vehicle emissions is bad for planet & public health. The #LTN experiment failed. We must end LTN schemes that increase #airpollution on community roads harming kids already most at risk.
