Let’s be clear, all the restrictions in Canada are because of how underbuilt, understaffed and mismanaged the healthcare system has been for decades. Imagine if all the money used to support our unfairly closed businesses went to fixing that instead?
Ontario has now updated their hospital data to disclose that, as of today’s numbers, 46% of general covid hospitalizations are incidental and 17% of covid ICU numbers are incidental.
I can confirm that the Ontario government still has not removed incidental hospitalization numbers from its COVID data.
“We started the data collection from hospitals and public reporting will start in the near future,” the Ministry of Health told me today.
