.@FAO supported @SyMOEADM in #Raqqa #Syria to enable machinery to remove accumulated obstacles & raise earthen barriers, preventing water from flooding #agricultural lands. This will benefit 870 of farming families in 34 villages. Enabeling access to 7800 dunams of farming land.

As part of the €210M humanitarian aid package for Syria, the EU dedicated €6M to disaster preparedness. On 14 April, @FAO #Syria & partners joined an @eu_echo workshop to discuss actions for the establishment of a Multi-Hazard Early Warning System.
