The award recognizes publishers and initiatives advancing access to digital books and publications for persons who are blind, visually impaired or print-disabled.
Winners are invited to the awards ceremony and gain international visibility for their work.

- Voluntary efforts failed; piracy is up 142% despite more cooperation.
❌DSPs: 46% of notices, only 9% action.
❌Only 3% resolved in 30 minutes.
❌EU enforcement uneven across countries.
❌CDNs remain a major blind spot.
ALT Voluntary Measures Failed: Despite 26% increase in cooperation agreements, piracy volume increased 142% from H2 2024 to H1 2025, with 26.2 million takedown notices submitted but 89% not resulting in suspension. DSP Crisis: Dedicated Server Providers account for 46% of notices but only 9% suspension rate, compared to online platforms' 98% rate. This is the system's critical failure point. 30-Minute Failure: Only 3% of infringements were acted upon within the industry-demanded 30-minute target. Manual processing makes this impossible at scale. Geographic Fragmentation: Three Member States (France, Italy, Belgium) advancing while majority lag. EU-wide harmonization essential. CDN Blind Spot: CDNs and reverse proxies not subject to DSA rules on notices, creating major enforcement gap.
