We just came across a de-sawed Freshwater Sawfish in the Fitzroy River, Western Australia. The fish was skinny as a result, and is likely to starve in time. Not only cruel, it is an offence to take the saw. tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1…

I am excited to share a new study led by Shachar Givon & @MatanSamina w/ Ohad Ben Shahar: Goldfish can learn to navigate a small robotic vehicle on land. We trained goldfish to drive a wheeled platform that reacts to the fish’s movement (authors.elsevier.com/a/1eEnu…).
