Really glad that all of the Japan Airlines pax and crew seem to have survived the crash.
But I'm not surprised to hear that it was an orderly evacuation. JAL is able to board widebody aircraft in 10-15 mins as pax are so considerate.

Today marks 34 yrs since United Flight 232 crash-landed in Sioux City after a failure of the tail engine & loss of most flight controls. The crew is credited for saving 185 of the 296 lives aboard in what most believed would have been a complete loss of life w/o heroic efforts.

With the exception of United, airlines have recovered to a more typical cancellation/delay rate as of this morning, after the severe weather earlier this week.
FAA will continue to work with airlines to help them minimize disruptions during the busy 4th of July travel weekend.
