smartest guys I know are helping secure Ethereum with FV and getting s/o by Vitalik You're not bullish enough on Verity
Looks like the options thing is happening already! See also: various people thinking through and building different versions of the idea in the thread: ethresear.ch/t/building-inde… Though I do strongly urge that if any of these get on mainnet quickly, we formally verify it first. I hope @vyperlang and/or github.com/lfglabs-dev/verit… folks ( @Fricoben) can help! (Also, now is a good time to be thinking about robustness-optimized oracles) firefly.social/post/x/206494…

Verity and formal verification will shine particularly in complex maths smart contracts, option is a perfect fit. DMs are open!

Anthropic is so unbelievably good at marketing they made us think their model only created the security apocalypse we’re witnessing. Truth is the real mythos has been achieved months ago and might not be even from them. That being said, This PHD level model is the worst it’ll be. Be prepared
Introducing Claude Fable 5: a Mythos-class model that we’ve made safe for general use. Its capabilities exceed those of any model we’ve ever made generally available.

Central Park chill before ethconf tomorrow. Mentally preparing to explain why formal verification will save us from the mythos-apocalypse. If you're around and want to talk, dms open

Flying to America for the first time in 10 years for ethconf. My Europoor mind is not ready for $10 coffees and 25% tips. NYC people, DM me if you want to talk formal verification, smart contracts, or where I can find a coffee that doesn't require a seed round.

I'll be in NYC for ethconf next week. If you're around and want to talk smart contracts, formal verification, or anything else, DM me. Happy to catch up before my social battery dies.

Production Contracts already with verity !
Introducing TamaSwap, the first provably unhackable DEX. - No-free-lunch theorem, machine-checked via Lean - Onchain HTML interface, forever online - No protocol fees, no-code deploy to any EVM chain Built with Tama Verity. AGPL license. The platonic ideal of xy=k.

In an ideal world all software and hardware would have "nutrition labels" that provide a full list of trust dependencies - what math and which actors' honest behavior (and on what time scale) the system is relying on to provide its core functionality and implied guarantees.
Make nutrition labels for proving systems

Formal verification costs have fallen to the price of a classic audit. Except an audit gives you an opinion. FV gives you a mathematical guarantee on whether you still have bugs or not. If you actually care about security and not just checking a box, the choice is obvious.

Vibecoding creates understanding debt. You ship fast but nobody really knows what the code does anymore. With formal verification you don't even need to understand the implementation. You write specs (what should be true) and get a proof that the code satisfies them for all inputs. The implementation becomes irrelevant to the security argument. Specs first programming makes the understanding problem way simpler (and cheaper to audit)

Cybersecurity is becoming defense AI vs attack AI. Problem is a single winning hack pays more than your entire security budget so attackers will always outspend you on inference. But a mathematical proof that your code is correct costs a few thousand dollars. Best defense against AI attackers is formal verification.

I don't even comprehend how much formally verifying a compiler would have cost in a pre-AI world. Years of PhDs, millions in grants probably. Now one person can tokenmaxxing their way to it. What a time to be alive.

Replying to @Th0rgal_
@Th0rgal_ has been shipping like crazy on Verity lately. Modifiers, nested storage, ERC-7201 namespaces, external call verification... We're almost at parity with Solidity and the syntax feels familiar. Official launch might be closer than you think.

@GregoireGambatt said to stay stealth. I tried. But I just can't stop myself from tweeting about what we're shipping so here's the middle ground, occasional shilling no apologies.

We spent the last few weeks formally verifying smart contract invariants across Ethereum protocols using AI and Lean. Here's the methodology and what we learned 🧵

We formally verified invariants across @LidoFinance, @safe, @Balancer, @CorkProtocol, @termmaxfi, @NexusMutual, @ForgeYields, @AlchemixFi, @reserveprotocol, @MidasRWA and others. Every write-up is public with the formal statement, scope, and proof: lfglabs.dev/research
