This is so beautiful. Dogs are the greatest gift to an undeserving humankind.
Sadie, a 100-pound German Shepherd, had been turned away by three shelters by the time she arrived at the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge in Oakland, New Jersey, in early 2020. Sadie was very anxious and especially uneasy around men. The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, a shelter of “last resort,” decided to take Sadie in ². Brian Meyers, who lives alone with Sadie, assumed he was rescuing her but that wasn’t the case at all! As the video states, Brian “was saving his savior.” One night while in bed, Brian had a stroke and was stuck between the bed and the wall. Sadie raced over so Brian could latch onto her collar. She then dragged Brian across the room to his phone ¹. When CBS Evening News interviewed Megan with Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, asking her about Sadie’s bravery and loyalty, she responded, “When you have a dog who’s lost something… lost a family or person or they never quite had that… they make that connection and you really become their world”. Send your love to this brave girl! ❤️
