When we came out of stealth 283 days ago, we had negotiated contracts worth $30m for our clients. As of last month, that number is over $1 billion. We work with the most ambitious companies in the world, including @tryramp, @clay and @RogoAI. Today, we want you to hear from some of them directly. Contracts are the rails of commerce. @crosbylegal is a hybrid AI law firm that gets them signed 80% faster. We’re announcing our Series B to keep scaling the dream law firm.

Neofirms will be defined by business models that charge for outcomes instead of hours. In order to win, they must measure the efficiency of labor token spend, rather than competing to maximize token spend. At Crosby, we use the Ramp AI spend dashboard to understand how we're spending tokens on customer outcomes, where efficiency = customer outcomes delivered / [token cost legal cost]. The billable hour is optimized for the opposite, where more hours means more revenue. For us, every token and every hour of legal time comes out of our margin, so the pressure is always to deliver more with less. For the first time, the firm and the client actually want the same thing. The firms that win won't be playing at the Token Casino. The firms that win will be the ones delivering the best outcomes at the lowest all in cost -- and measuring it closely enough to keep improving.

When I was running my startup, we were trying to figure out how to help a customer structure an equity sale and needed guidance from our lawyers. We hopped on a call on a summer Friday and I was horrified to see 8 people from the law firm had joined the call. 5 were off camera and barely spoke. At the end of the month, the bill came: $11,000. I'm glad the billable hour is over and a better model has arrived.

5 minutes into meeting John he told me he wanted to start his own company. I told him Ramp was the best place to learn first. He took that seriously- built 0->1 products, ran hiring processes, operated like a founder from day one. A real builder and extremely high slope. Now Ramp is a Crosby customer. As I thought about where I wanted to spend the next years of my career, I became incredibly bullish on AI native services firms. What @ryanjdaniels has coined “Neofirms”: new services firms built to combine the abilities of AI models and expert humans. LLMs are incredible tools, but we have not yet unlocked their potential to transform the economy. Neofirms like Crosby accomplish this by bringing together elite human practitioners (at Crosby, attorneys), top AI researchers, and frontier models to create experiences that weren’t possible before.
