Hi Harmeet, @pnjaban , I am sure you're unaware of this as you prepare to enter the DOJ Civil Rights role but someone in your firm is sending out template retainer agreements to get pardons for people your firm already said pro bono were innocent. (I do not want a pardon, I want the DOJ to do the right thing and dismiss this case.) Given your new role in the DOJ this feels like this individual is selling access to power while your out of the office – it feels very sketchy to me and my family and other lawyers who have advocated for my freedom! Your firm already asked @realDonaldTrump and the AG pro-bono to pardon me or dismiss the case, and that was only prevented because of January 6 (“J6”) derailing so many efforts, so why is this rogue attorney suddenly demanding $150,000 to say the SAME thing your firm already said PUBLICLY when the only difference is you're now in power? Judge Paul Engelmayer has consistently refused to recuse himself from cases in which he holds multi-million dollar investments—cases like my son’s, where he had a direct financial interest in the bank that actually mishandled a legal transaction. In Ari’s case (JusticeForAri.org), Judge Engelmayer: 1. Blocked Expert Testimony Relevant to His Own Investments - He refused to allow independent banking experts to testify that Ari’s actions were entirely legal and that it was Bank of America that erred. - Judge Engelmayer failed to disclose his multi-million dollar interest in Bank of America stock. 2. Ignored Bank of America’s Criminal Actions - When Bank of America was caught “losing” videos and documents, and when another expert came forward exposing the bank’s conduct, Judge Engelmayer dismissed it — calling it a "waste of his time." 3. The judge ignored the Obama affiliated prosecutors hiding that the main witnesses were colluding with defendants in two civil cases Ari's company had filed, keeping exculpatory evidence away from Ari's defense attorneys.
