Current state of NY Penn->LA Union rail in this country is a total of 3,224 miles in 67 hours, assuming no delays and with a half-day layover at Union Station, Chicago. Which pretty much will be eaten up by 48's trip westbound from Albany. Usually.

Hidetaka Miyazaki, one of the greatest gaming directors working right now, did not really start playing video games regularly until he was in his 20s. He grew up on tabletop RPGs, fantasy books, and his own imagination. Which is why Dark Souls feels so unique.

I have said this before: Movie makers raised on modern movies are shit. Same for all media Pokemon started because the creator liked collecting bugs and exploring as a kid, not just playing other video games. Inbred Media. You can't make music out of all samples forever.

Gray Newell, son of Valve co-founder Gabe Newell, finished third in the LMGT3 class in his first-ever 24 Hours of Le Mans. Driving for the Heart of Racing Team alongside Jonny Adam and Eduardo Barrichello in an Aston Martin Vantage GT3, Newell made it to the podium on his Le Mans debut after completing the iconic 24-hour race. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the toughest and most famous races in the world, so getting a podium finish in your first attempt is a huge achievement.

Good thing it was privately funded. This cost taxpayers exactly $0. If it were taxpayer-funded, then I’d be in agreement with you. But, as usual, leftist trash never verify the facts. When are you gonna be ready to talk about the money spent on welfare and entitlement programs?

Yes we are a pussy nation dude. You know why? Because the core of the American ethos is the "underdog" the humble and meek man overcoming all. We aren't the underdog, we could obliterate tehran in an instant, we could glass the continent in the same amount of time it would take me to get a McDonalds cheeseburger. But we don't do that, we don't operate in this manner, because nobody likes to see the winner win by those means. So instead of total iranian death and giga arab genocide, we compromise. For the sake of the world and for the sake of our elections. Americans would trade 1 billion lives for 1.99 gas but they would never support America doing it.

So you believe we shouldn’t have avenged the American troops who were slaughtered by the IRGC and the civilians who were taken hostage the second the current regime took power? When did we become a pussy nation?

The fact that the British literally forget they settled this country is wild. There is a literal British descended farm that's been making cheese since 1755(!) around 20 minutes from my house.
It's impossible to explain to a Yank what Cheddar cheese is like. Their only reference point is liquidised knob cheese in a spray can. We should be mindful of their limitations.
Community note
An American-made cheddar cheese was named the best cheddar cheese by the most recent World Cheese Awards in Bern, Switzerland. gff.co.uk/for-producers/… gff.co.uk/directory/prod…

We didn't build anything for the WC. These are all for American football. There are 30 NFL and 42 college stadiums that can hold over 60,000 people. Dallas Stadium aka AT&T Stadium is 17 years old.

Lots of misinformation being spread about me the last couple days, so some quick facts - My name is Tina, not Guo Can (or Jessie Anderson). I’m one of many Raptor flight operators on console since flight2. Before that, I wrote control software for the vehicle, and was a stage software operator for flight1 - Been living in Starbase since surborbital days in 2020, absolutely love it down here. The people are wonderful and so so excited about the mission - the lows are lows but the highs are very high. My friends here are the best in the world, and I love them to the moon/mars and back :) - The reason I decided to say something was because facts matter, but also because wanted to share my real life journey to how I got here. I don’t have a masters or a PhD, I started full time directly after college after 2x internships also at spacex doing software/automation. I was on a couple design teams in college, including Stanford solar car mars rover. When I started spacex as a software engineer, I knew very little about fluids / propulsion engineering - I learned a lot of it on the job with some pretty incredible mentors. Then I swapped over to propulsion about halfway through my career and have been loving it ever since

These types of people have seen Les Mis and Marie Antoinette (2006) but have never looked into the history or consequences of the French Revolution. They believe Napoleon was a 4 foot tall soyboy and have never heard the name Maximilien Robespierre in their lives.

Yup. Boom. I finished both Nagatoro and My Dress-Up Darling. In no way would boys like Hachiouji and Gojo land girlfriends like Nagatoro and Marin. In no way would girls like Nagatoro and Marin be nice to boys like Hachiouji and Gojo. It's fiction. That's the point of it.

It was two in the morning, the hour when even the bravest samurai retires to his bedroll, yet here, a fortress of light beckoned me from the darkness. Every castle I have ever known has fallen. Fire, siege, taxes. Eight hundred years of my family learning one lesson: nothing stays open forever. This house has never closed. Not for storms. Not for holidays. Not for the hour when even the moon looks tired. I asked the waitress when they lock the doors. "We don't have locks, hon." No locks. I own walls, moats, and a sword older than this country, and I have never once said anything that powerful. Inside, a cook was scraping the grill at 2 a.m. with the calm of a man guarding something. I asked if he was the night watch. "I'm Darnell." A trucker two stools down raised his coffee. "Place stayed open during the hurricane," he said. "FEMA's got a whole index about it." An index. The government of this nation measures disasters by whether THIS HOUSE is still standing. In Japan, we measured a clan's strength by its castle. Same thing. Theirs serves waffles. I ordered. I ate. I confess what happened next. I did not want to leave. The night outside was large. The booth was warm. I am a grown warrior, and I sat in a yellow fortress at 3 a.m. feeling protected by hash browns. A castle does not promise to stand forever. It simply leaves the lights on. I drive past at night now. Just to check. The lights are always on. Sentries of the griddle — I see you. Hold the line.
