Everyone takes things the wrong way on twitter, and that is why we can't have fun.

Ending the program has always been the moderate solution.
šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø LinkedIn CEO Dan Shapero plans to fire 540 Americans on July 13, 2026. He filed for 615 H-1B visa hires in Q2 2026. Dan was appointed CEO in April. He is already executing a clear strategy to replace American workers. $CUTOFFS

Look at NYC’s budget. Now look at Florida’s. A bigger budget for almost 1/3 of the population. One clear example dismantles the delusion that this is a tax problem rather than runaway government overspending.

The bar in the background used to be called The Purple Shamrock. Every Saturday, the worst people in Boston (myself included) would show up here. We’d drink 17 Long Island ice teas, throw up in a corner, get in a fight over nothing, and then try to take home some chick named Tammy-Lynn from Medford. Tammy-Lynn had a lower back tattoo of barbwire with a rose in the middle, smeared MAC eyeliner, and a Parliament hanging out of her mouth. She dropped out in 10th grade, would probably try to stab you if she had too many Jagerbombs (her favorite), but in the glow of the streetlights in Faneuil Hall, she was a goddess. Before for getting in a cab back to her place, her juice head ex boyfriend shows up. Richie’s wearing a wife beater, gold chain, a Von Dutch hat and asking ā€œyou wanna die, mutherfucker?!ā€ Deciding not to risk you life for an unstable 6, you head back into the bar. One more Long Island can’t hurt. Welcome to Boston. Beautiful culture.
I cannot remember the last time I saw #Boston like this

If this played out, @GrayConnolly would be insufferable...and he's not even American.
Pope Benedict XVI’s Germany won a World Cup. Pope Francis’s Argentina won a World Cup. Will Leo XIV deliver for the United States?

I know this is very much "our humor"...but having thought of it for a day...this is it. Serious as a heart attack. This is it, just have 09/11/2001 - 08/30/2021 on the marble. Put it in Section 60. Call it even.
GWOT vets- I’m working on an alternate concept to battle this mistake. I’m just fleshing it out, and unlike the @GWOTMF, I actually care about what you think, and frankly, I could use the help fleshing it out. We need a monument that actually tells our story. One that an eighth grader in 2126 could visit and walk away with some understanding of who we were, what we did, and why we did it. It necessarily must TELL OUR STORY. Towards that end, I maintain the walking path concept, but one that differs greatly from the hippie donut version. I want visitors generations from now to walk a path where they trace the history of the war, told in bronze statuary vignettes, with one (or more) for each year of the war. It, of course starts with 9/11, then progresses through Afghanistan, rising in physical elevation requiring visitors to climb a staircase up a hill to convey the uneven, mountainous terrain. The path splits in 2003, branching off and downward to Iraq, which should effect more of an urban feel, with portions even mimicking a facade of a Baghdad alleyway. Major battles will be captured. It will honor heroism, loss, defiance, and the character of those who served. Right now it’s just an idea in my head that is fighting like a madman to get out, but my only tools are grok and runway. Anyways, here are some AI generated mock-ups for some of the vignettes I envision. More in replies along with some descriptions

I think it would also be good to note, that, in addition to the carpet ready sandals, that the picture is in front of what is not even a working farm tractor. This is a /- 1940s Farmall M, tractor probably 1942–1948. It is also showroom clean. This is simply someone's project tractor they are very proud of, not unlike my late 1980s Mercedes.
Interesting shoe choice for a farm visit. @RebeccaforWI is as authentic as a Tijuana Rolex

Nature is healing. We got two absolute death tanks playing a round of toothy cuffs right in front of the porta-potties like it’s a parking lot UFC fight. One gator, one croc, full WWE main event — jaws locked, rolling around on the asphalt trying to figure out who gets first dibs on the next fat Yankee crying in the shitter. The crow in the background is just refereeing this hate crime like a professional. If you’re from Ohio or New York and think these are just cute forbidden swamp puppies you can pet, please go stick your hand in one’s mouth so natural selection can finally cook. Turns out they were evenly matched. Both walked off like gentlemen once they realized the tourist inside was taking too long. Even lizards got table manners — nobody wants that after a long poop. Florida is not a real place. Stay in your hotel room. 🐊

No, I'm sorry. I dislike it even more. The Flight 93 memorial having a crescent shape is bad enough. This too? Hard pass.
GWOT veterans... Take 3 minutes and watch this explanation of the elements of the proposed GWOT memorial. It might change your mind. It did mine. Thanks @JDKeelingIII for sending this my way.

ā€œthe South is welcoming a German tourist in a way we would never have anticipated.ā€ Lived my entire life in the South. I wholly anticipated this. Breaking news for people in the northeast: this is actually normal life in the rest of America.
CNN did a segment on Freddy, the German soccer tourist, and sports analyst Christine Brennan claimed "I saw some conversation, Wolf and Pamela, about how the rest of the world is looking at the United States and feeling that we are—it's a foreboding image and that we are inhospitable...But how wonderful again, that sports can bring people here and show people that the United States and you know, the South is welcoming a German tourist in a way we would never have anticipated" Who is "we"?

16 Virginia prosecutors note announce they refuse to enforce the unconstitutional gun bans and gun control laws passed by @GovernorVA
🚨MORE DETAILS: Applause for Lynchburg Commonwealth's Attorney Bethany Harrison, who is now the 16th Commonwealth's Attorney to take a stand to protect her constituents from Virginia's new unconstitutional "assault" firearms, standard-capacity magazines, & public carry bans. Here is her letter to Lynchburg Police Chief Kennith Edwards, copied to the Virginia State Police & other LEOs: Excerpts: "I write to make my position clear on this legislation that will go into effect July 1, 2026. My office will not enforce these laws as it is my opinion they are unconstitutional based on the United States Supreme Court’s rulings in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen, 567 U.S. 1 (2022), District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008), and U.S. v. Miller, 307 U.S. 174 (1934). Constitutional challenges to these bills have already been filed. I expect that no matter the ruling of our state courts, these challenges will be appealed to the United States Supreme Court." .... "We will continue to enforce the laws in place to hold offenders accountable for their criminal acts no matter the weapon type used. We regularly prosecute offenders by seeking mandatory minimum and enhanced sentences for using weapons to commit crimes. The same legislators who voted for these bills to criminalize citizens for mere possession of a firearm seek to take away these enhanced punishments for our most violent and egregious offenses when the firearm is used to perpetrate the offense (HB 863). This leads me to believe that the passage of these laws is not about public safety but instead to further an ideology that fails to address the underlying reasons why a person would pick up a weapon and use it to harm others. Until we address those issues, we will continue to see offenders use any weapon at his or her disposal to hurt others. Our law-abiding citizens should not be left defenseless against those would do them harm. That is what this legislation will accomplish." MORE in imagesā¬‡ļø

Angela Eagle. 34 years of being wrong. 34 years of voting for every open-border policy, every EU power grab, every failed immigration scheme. She watched record boat arrivals on her watch and called it 'complexity.' She scrapped the Rwanda deterrent and replaced it with... nothing. She has never had an independent thought in 450 parliamentary votes. Not one rebellion. Not one principle she wouldn't sell for a promotion. And now she's Security Minister. The woman who couldn't secure a border is securing the entire realm. The woman who never stood up to her party is standing up to terrorists. The woman who failed at every metric is measuring success for the rest of us. This isn't government. This is jobs for the girls/boys who never questioned the boys/girls. 34 years of failure, rewarded with a Damehood and a promotion. Angela Eagle isn't a security expert. She's a careerist who secured the only thing that matters to her: her own advancement.
Welcome to the Home Office @AngelaEagle.
