Let’s talk about data-FERPA (Family Education Rights in Privacy Act) education records (including all psychological, behavioral, SEL data) can be shared with 3rd party vendors. School records come under FERPA not HIPAA. Private, religious, homeschools will have to turn over data.

& ESSA #schoolwide provisions blanket schools with #SEL. Surveys about personal beliefs, attitudes, values are prohibited without parental permission. However, most schools do not abide because no parent usually objects to the marketing of SEL, PBIS, MTSS, or sexual orientation.
