House of Lords International Agreements Committee retweeted
Today (16 March) the House of Lords will debate that International Agreements Committee @HLIntAgreements report on treaty scrutiny.
The Committee concluded that Parliament’s current role is too limited and called for improvements.
🗣️"A rules-based trading system underpinned by international law is hugely beneficial to all countries large, medium and small."
🌎The Trade Secretary, @peterkyle MP, told us about the Government's position on multilateralism ahead of the forthcoming WTO Ministerial Conference.
🇬🇧🤝 🇮🇳 On 26 February, a delegation of Committee Members, led by our Chair @LordJohnson_ , met with the Indian High Commissioner to discuss the recent UK-India Free Trade Agreement.
