🧬 DISCO is evolving.
We've rebuilt the entire platform from the ground up — modernized stack, faster APIs, interactive visualizations — so we can spend less time on infrastructure and more time on what matters: biology.
We leveraged DISCO’s comprehensive single-cell heart datasets to uncover:
🔹 Cellular remodeling across aging and disease
🔹 a novel computational method for inferring LR interactions from population-scale single-cell data

Very excited to present our new algorithm - SpatialGlue that deciphers spatial domains from spatial multi-omics data. To the best of our knowledge, SpatialGlue is the first algorithm for analyzing spatial multiomics data. nature.com/articles/s41592-0…
Out today from Jinmiao Chen's lab! SpatialGlue uses deep learning for integrating multimodal spatial omics data. Combining complementary modalities improves the discovery of spatial domains and the identification of cell subpopulations across tissues. nature.com/articles/s41592-0…
With continuous updates, the DISCO database now has over 100 million cells from 16,734 human samples (immunesinglecell.org/reposit…). Recent significant updates include:
1. Splitting samples into tissues and cell lines.
2. Comprehensive data and metadata cleaning.
3. Addition of new metadata fields, such as RNA source (nucleus/cell).
4. Individual sample pages, allowing users to explore cell types and gene expression data.
5. Update DISCO toolkit (github.com/JinmiaoChenLab/DI…) to align with the new data structure.
