HAMILTON LAUNCHES CD-8 TOWN HALL TOUR
STAUBER DEADLINE PASSES WITHOUT RESPONSE
Republican Candidate Schedules Open Public Meetings Across Southern and Central CD-8 After Incumbent Fails to Engage
MORA, MINNESOTA - 6/5/2026 - Republican congressional candidate Anthony Hamilton announced today that he has scheduled a series of open public town halls across Minnesota's 8th Congressional District, after Pete Stauber failed to respond to Hamilton's public challenge to hold constituent meetings before the August 11 primary.
The first town hall was held in Mora, Minnesota, with additional meetings already scheduled in seven other locations including Duluth, Brainerd, Bemidji, and Grand Rapids.
"The deadline passed. No response," said Hamilton. "So I scheduled them myself. That’s what the start of representation looks like - you show up. The people of CD-8 deserve to ask their questions and get straight answers, and I’m going to make sure they have that opportunity."
CONFIRMED DATES:
Mora - 6/4/26 - 7-8pm - Mora Library Event Room – Completed
Cambridge - 6/11/26 - 7-8pm - Cambridge Library Great Northern Room
North Branch - 6/17/26 - 7-8pm - Tailgaters Sports Bar and Grill Event Room
Isanti - 6/18/26 - 7-8pm - Coborn's Grocery Meeting Room Upstairs
Brainerd - 6/24/26 - 5:30-6:30 - Brainerd Public Library Large Meeting Room
Duluth - 6/25/26 - 6:30-7:30 - Duluth Main Library Gold Room
Bemidji - 7/9/26 - 5:30-6:30 - Bemidji Library Meeting Room
Grand Rapids - 7/16/26 - 6:30-7:30 - American Legion Post 60
All town halls are free, open to every resident of CD-8, and unscripted. Constituents are invited to ask Hamilton directly about his five-point congressional reform agenda: term limits, ending lobbying corruption, a ban on congressional stock trading, mandatory attendance accountability, and financial penalties for government shutdowns and unbalanced budgets.
Pete Stauber has represented CD-8 since 2019. He has held zero in-person town halls during that time.
"I’m not doing this to embarrass anyone," Hamilton said. "I’m doing this because the people of this district have been shut out for years. I will go anywhere anyone asks me to go and answer any questions they want to ask. That is not complicated. That is the job."
Any community, library, VFW post, church hall, or organization in CD-8 interested in hosting a Hamilton town hall is encouraged to reach out through Facebook, X, or
