Today will go down as the craziest weather day I have ever covered in my home state. Gambled east in the open warm sector / modifying outflow regime ahead of the PFT/cold front and it paid off in the form of numerous large, damaging, but photogenic tornadoes in central Illinois.

Tornado yesterday around St. Libory, Nebraska. Got on this storm early which cost me getting close to this storm due to falling behind a little bit. There was some rain on the south side, making the tornado hard to make out. Not all tornadoes will be up close visible tornadoes.

Crazy to think I filmed this 6 years ago somewhere in Oklahoma. I’m still in awe of how that bolt struck perfectly right in the middle of the rainbow. Truly a once in a lifetime capture!
