Trump was able to quickly put together $300 billion in recovery money for Iran after he decided to bomb it. He stood in Swannanoa NC not far from my house in October 2024 and said he’d build back bigger, better, more beautiful, and faster than Biden after Hurricane Helene inflicted $60 billion in damage in the Blue Ridge . . . and then he went MIA. Imagine if @realDonaldTrump cared as much about rebuilding Western North Carolina for Americans as he does about rebuilding Iran for Iranians.

VIA~~~Charlie Thornton Let me tell you why I'm with the Brown folk and queer folk and the women folk - somebody just reminded me of this - I was born and raised less than 10 miles from where I live right now. I'm a white dude, a southern dude, I own a gun, I have a job, I vote, I drink beer, I fish, I pay my taxes, I grew up raising hell and listening to the Allman brothers .... But the flag-waving Uber-patriots still come at me foaming at the mouth and telling me I'm not American enough, not straight enough, not man enough to be part of what they think belongs in "their America." Literally happened completely unprovoked about 10 minutes ago. Now, if these crazy jackasses come at me??? - when I have a redneck pedigree that goes back to the Civil War.... how much more are they gonna try to persecute people that aren't like me? I'm literally everything they say they want, except I won't vote for institutionalized racism and a war on women and queer folk. Screw them! Persecuting people and hating people is no way to go through life. Miss me with all that I'll be hanging with the womens and the queers and every color that the Good Lord made us in. And we will be looking better and eating better and having hell a lot more fun. Bet on that.

OMG - I had no idea the depths of his CKirk's suggestions, statements and, apparently, firmly-held beliefs. Again, OMG! However horrible to read/hear/see these quotes, it is still no justification for murder.

They're going to need bigger bottles
BREAKING: They are now pouring bottles of hydrogen peroxide into the ultra-green algae-filled Reflecting Pool that Trump wasted $10m of our money on.

JD Vance: "If you go back to every major conflict in human history, they all end with some kind of negotiation." Lawrence O'Donnell: "No. They didn't. WWII ended with ZERO negotiations." How is Yale Law-educated JD Vance so f*cking stupid?

Stephen Miller wants to flip a switch and erase one of your oldest rights. It’s called habeas corpus. Fancy words but a simple idea that the government can’t just grab you and lock you away. It has to prove to a judge why you’re behind bars. That right is 800 years old. It’s older than America itself. And Miller tried to kill it. New reporting confirms it. Inside the White House, Miller pushed to suspend habeas corpus so agents could seize people, detain them, and deport them with no judge, no hearing, no chance to say “you’ve got the wrong guy.” Even Trump’s own lawyers put in writing that this is illegal. Miller pushed anyway. Miller screams “invasion” because the Constitution only allows this sort of thing during an invasion. But this same crowd brags every day that border crossings hit record lows. So which is it? The right to challenge your own detention is the line between a republic and a regime. Lose it, and the government can disappear anyone. I will fight this with everything I have. The Constitution is not optional. Not for Stephen Miller. Not for anyone. nytimes.com/2026/06/15/us/po…

🚨 Absolute madness in the US right now as the Uruguay national team gets pulled to the side of the road and treated like straight-up suspects. They literally just landed for the World Cup and security is already ripping their luggage open on the tarmac with sniffer dogs everywhere Qatar and Russia hosted without this level of paranoia but the "land of the free" is handing out pure humiliation to Global South athletes before a single match is even played, the double standards are screaming.

Again, I say: Stupidfuck @realDonaldTrump
1 year ago, DOGE slashed $250M in funding including New World Screwworm prevention programs. Now, the Trump admin is spending $1B to combat the outbreak.
We know, we've always known; don't know why the rest haven't figured it out. Guess they just believe whatever a liar may tell them. So Sad. It's OUR social security, OUR money -- @GOP: #PayUSBack

Fifty years of rules keeping off-road vehicles on designated trails — GONE. Lifted trucks, ATVs, dirt bikes, snowmobiles. Anywhere they want. On your public lands. Nixon protected it. Carter protected it. Trump just erased both quietly on a Friday afternoon. A grizzly bear will abandon its habitat when there's just one mile of road per square mile. One mile. Now there's no limit on where these vehicles can go. In the Mojave, desert tortoises have already lost 96% of their population in some monitored areas - partly because off-road vehicles crush their burrows. A federal judge just ordered 2,200 miles of trails closed to protect what's left. Then Trump signed this. No designated trails. No boundaries. No framework at all. When vehicles go off trail they shatter habitat into pieces too small for wildlife to survive in. They destroy stream banks. They push predators toward humans. And when that happens, the animals always lose. There was no vote. No public comment. Just a signature. Now the agencies tasked with writing replacement rules are the BLM, the Forest Service, and the National Park Service - all under an administration that has spent months dismantling every protection they had. The Interior Department, led by Doug Burgum, is in charge of most of it. The same Doug Burgum who has opened public lands to drilling, mining, and grazing at every turn. Don't hold your breath. When the last quiet place is gone, what do we tell the children who never got to hear it? #DemsUnited

Very emotional moment from the interview with Zelenskyy. You should watch this. JOURNALIST: Do you miss being an actor? ZELENSKYY:?I miss being a good father. JOURNALIST: When your children were little, what did you tell them the most? What was the thing that you told them the most when they were small? ZELENSKYY: I love you. JOURNALIST: And what do you tell them now that they're older? ZELENSKYY: Oh, I miss you. JOURNALIST: When was the last time you cried? ZELENSKYY: I will try to do it after our interview. No, I mean this, between us. I'm a normal man and then there are a lot of different moments, between us, almost each day, a lot of losses on the battlefield and civilians, and there are absolutely crazy attacks on our people. And I'm just, it's… I mean, It's very difficult really, when I give orders (medals). I said about it. It's always difficult for me when I give orders (medals) to the mothers and fathers, who lost their children. In such moments, really, I often cry. JOURNALIST: Are you a hero? ZELENSKYY: No. JOURNALIST: So who is your hero? ZELENSKYY:?My hero? My children, my army, our army, and Ukrainian people. So I'm a part… I'm also a Ukrainian, so I'm a part of our nation. But now our nation, I think, that our nation is absolutely heroic.
