PSA for all Z15 Pro ASIC owners trying to connect to NiceHash:
Bitmain just confirmed a bug. Move your hashboards from ports 1-2-3 to 0-1-2 on the control board.
Bitmain will patch it in the next firmware.
Thanks to @HeyBitCap for letting us know.
Why people are moving to open-source AI:
- Frontier AI prices keep going up
- They secretly nerf usage limits every time
- Last year’s $20 sub is now a trial, $200 is the new standard
- Censorship is getting worse
- Your data is handed over to the company
Open-source AI needs more developers.

$ETH in absolute disarray. No clear vision, fractured leadership, no longer tied to real world costs. We built our business on @ethereum for 5 years and evangelized hundreds if not thousands of investors and miners. I’m sure you could make a dozen different arguments as to why but the data to me is pretty clear. If you extract your mining class, your project gets divorced from real costs and ossifies its HODLers to permanently reward whoever got in early at the expense and excitement of new people getting in and maintaining their operations with hardware. Us and many other early ETH peeps haven’t talked about ETH in 5 years.
The numbers don’t lie. Arrow points to when eth moves to PoS.
Power is the bottleneck for AI scale-up. We're bitcoiners with US-based hosting infrastructure — tier 0 environment, on-site power, slots available. If you're building or investing in AI infra, let's talk. @AIBagger@MarcoDagna
> 8 GPUs in one server rig
> dude went homeless to build it
> electrical bill costs more than rent now
> while everyone else pays $400/month to openai
> a 2 GPU desktop kills the api bill forever
> rtx 4080 super rtx 5060 ti = 32gb vram
> runs qwen 3.6 with 100k context locally
> no rate limits, no api keys, no data leaving the room
> agents loop 400 times for free
> claude opus still wins on hard reasoning
> but local handles 90% of daily work
> $1,200 setup pays itself off in 4 months

Maybe we should all invest in owning our own compute. All the big token sellers are losing money in inference right now.
Once they reprice for Margin, it’s gonna real expensive, real fast.

Hashprice drop squeezes the inefficient. For hosts with sub-7c power? This is just another cycle. Load up when others fold. The survivors always win. 💪
zec has $2.8b locked in shielded addresses but processes 5k daily transactions. if just 10% of shielded holders tried to exit in a week the network would need 64k daily transactions. current capacity is 5k. ledger app crashes, electrum servers go offline, coinbase blocks sells. that's not a privacy solution, that's a liquidity trap with one exit door
