Collaboration work on the computer modeling and simulations for growing cell/lumen assembly, led by Dr Tanida (UTokyo) @c100percent , with Prof Sano, Prof Nonomura, Dr Fuji and their HFSP teams, @RivelineLab @Honigmann_Lab Prof Grapin-Botton’s lab.
Our new paper is out!🥳 🧫 Mini-organs grown from cells in 3D culture = organoids. In our study, we built a phase-field model that includes ⌚ the cell division cycle and 💧 lumen pressure to explore how organoid shapes are determined. doi.org/10.1371/journal.pcbi…

We did it! 😀🎉 🍾🥂 Our Excellence Cluster Physics of Life (@PoLDresden) got renewed until 2032! I am so proud of our team and all the great work we did to achieve this. At a personal level, I am really happy that the enormous effort that went into this process was successful, and truly honored to lead such an outstanding team. It took years of hard work to build the team and now we have the opportunity to take our Physics of Life to the next level. Let do this! Thanks to everyone who helped and contributed to this success, including the PoL PIs and administrative team, the TUD Rector and Chancellor, and the university team! Thanks to all 👏 Thanks also to the @dfg_public for appreciating our trajectory and achievements, and also for their trust in our project.
Great news! 🎉 Our Cluster of Excellence Physics of Life has been renewed for a second funding phase (2026-2032) by @dfg_public! Thanks to everyone who made this possible! 👏 We're thrilled to continue our cutting-edge #research towards understanding what brings matter to life!

Come to #Prague for #Woodstock2025. What is it? A scientific conference unlike any other. Think #BurningMan or #MusicFestival but #science themed. It'll have two parts - decentralised sessions spread in #Prague (sightsee as you move around) & #campsite event to wrap it up (1/7)
