Plus étonnant encore, en 2008, au plus fort de la purge massive des universités et de la répression brutale des étudiants sous Ahmadinejad, elle obtient un poste de professeure à l'Université Shahid Beheshti. Selon ses propres déclarations, cette nomination lui aurait été accordée par une personne « très, très bien ». À une époque où des centaines d'enseignants étaient expulsés, où des milliers d'étudiants étaient emprisonnés, exclus ou privés de leurs droits académiques, elle agissait comme « conseillère » du régime et défendait sa théorie du « gagnant-gagnant ». Aujourd'hui, alors que le vent du changement souffle de plus en plus fort, elle chercherait à faire disparaître son passé en invoquant auprès de Google le « droit à l'oubli » afin d'effacer les traces de ses activités. Mais l'histoire ne s'efface pas d'un clic. La mémoire collective d'un peuple est plus forte que n'importe quel moteur de recherche.
