Yesterday’s seminar at the Hebrew University, organized by the Truman Institute and sponsored by the @EUinIsrael @EUpalestinians proved again that open and public Israeli-Palestinian dialogue is still possible — and deeply needed. Important discussions with EU Ambassador to Israel @MichaelMannEU and @EUSR_MEPP highlighted both Europe’s enormous potential and its deep strategic contradictions. The EU could become the most relevant international player in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. But today it suffers from a severe lack of leadership and political courage. My criticism focused on two deeply destructive European policies: 1- Europe’s unconditional, public, and continuous endorsement of Mahmoud Abbas — a leader entering his third decade without democratic legitimacy while Palestinians remain denied presidential and legislative elections. 2- Europe’s strange fear of supporting open public dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians. Instead of investing in visible public engagement like yesterday’s seminar, the EU and leading member states such as Germany and Sweden continue funding closed “Chatham House” style conferences in Geneva and other European cities— conversations with no public accountability, no transparency, and no impact on public opinion. Peace will not emerge from secret rooms filled with the same old faces. It will only emerge when Israelis and Palestinians are capable of speaking publicly, honestly, and directly to each other in front of their own societies.

I admit that I never watched any of the respective documentaries to protect my mental health. But I deeply respect the courage and perseverance of those who gathered and especially of those who witnessed the horrors of 7th October. And I can only bow deeply before Holocaust-survivors who decided - faced with similar kind of horrific experience - to counter inhumanity with humanity. @EPPGroup @CDU_CSU_EP @CDU @AuswaertigesAmt @JoWadephul @avraham_nir @Ron_Prosor @ArminLaschet @n_roettgen
After more than two years of independent investigation, the Civil Commission has released a comprehensive report documenting sexual and gender-based violence committed by Hamas on October 7 and during hostage captivity. The report is not only a historical record — it is a call for recognition, accountability, and justice. Please read and share: civilc.org/silenced-no-more #October7 #NeverForget #HumanRights #Justice

Thank you Mr Azmani.

EU Parliament demands probe into Hamas infiltration of EU-funded NGO aid in Gaza. In today’s adopted 2024 budgetary discharge resolution, MEPs cite seized Hamas “guarantor” documents (2018-2022) and urge the Commission to investigate undue influence, suspend projects and recover any misused funds. This builds directly on IMPAC’s November 2025 ECR-backed breakfast roundtable with MEP Bert-Jan Ruissen and NGO Monitor’s Vincent Chebat - featured in EU Today’s video interview. youtu.be/TgOKfuQdVP8?si=xux2… #EUAidTransparency #AccountableAid

MEP @EmmanuelFragkos is right — this is state-sponsored persecution, not 'chaos.' IMPAC stands with the Christians of Hama facing looting, desecration, and threats to their very existence. Europe and the international community must act now. We fully support your urgent call to HRVP @KajaKallas for an immediate Foreign Affairs Council meeting. Silence equals complicity. #ProtectSyrianChristians #EndPersecution"
🚨 Christians in Syria’s Hama region are under attack — their shops looted, their churches desecrated, their lives threatened — while the so-called “government” escorts the mobs. This is not chaos, it is state-sponsored persecution. I am calling on HRVP @kajakallas to convene an urgent Foreign Affairs Council. Europe cannot stay silent while our Christian brothers and sisters face extinction in the Middle East.

🚨 We have formally submitted a letter to the European Commissioner for Sport regarding the fine imposed after the Red Star Belgrade incident, raising serious concerns about UEFA’s stance on Orthodox Christian expression. Selective enforcement of rules exposes clear double standards. Neutrality cannot be claimed when faith is treated unequally. @orthodox_33ad @SerbiaBased

Soon we will defund and then we will ban the Muslim Brotherhood. Europe is waking up. The time for denial and excuses is over.

IMPAC was delighted to have invited the indefatigable @weimers to speak from the floor at our conference yesterday, attended by over 200 people. We endorse every word of his powerful speech.

We will be standing with the Kurdish Nation on March 4th in the European Parliament. We hope the Commission will join us. im-pac.org/en/event/safeguar…
We value our longstanding good cooperation with the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, I told @IKRPresident in the margins of MSC. We welcome your efforts on de-escalation in Northeast Syria, dialogue and humanitarian passage.

Freedom of religion does not mean the freedom to impose a religion
SHOCKING: Bedfront Primary School has PUNISHED a Child for refusing to take part in Ramadan activities. The school logged it as a “racist incident”. This is not tolerance it’s coercion. Since when are UK children forced to observe religious practices they don’t believe in? 🇬🇧

An excellent question that has been asked and unanswered for decades.
Simple questions: Why do 5 million Palestinians have the "right" to a state, but not 40-60 million freedom-seeking #Kurds? Why are there endless marches & protests for Palestinians, but not Kurds? Why is the UN obsessed with Palestinians, but doesn't give a damn about Kurds?

Yet another young Coptic Christian woman was kidnapped and forcibly converted to Islam in Egypt. I wrote about this epidemic in 2024. The Egyptian state is complicit. fdd.org/analysis/op_eds/2024…

Interesting; this is of particular interest to Coptic and other Christians in Egypt who still suffer Islamist persecution severely limiting their freedom of religion and belief. We hope this was addressed openly and honestly.
