What I cannot understand is the gap between the endless declarations of solidarity with Lebanese civilians, and the disturbing silence regarding the suffering of northern Israeli citizens. ​Where does this indifference of the liberal world toward the attempts to kill them stem from? Don't they deserve solidarity too?
