"Disrupting Britain's broken media"... by hiring the former political editor of ITV News? x.com/i/status/2065331663945… @medialens

Replying to @DAaronovitch
The political editor is @ShehabKhan, who we just hired from ITV News, where he was a very well-respected political reporter who interviewed the last six British prime ministers. Zeteo in the US has three full time reporters and has produced two investigative, news-making documentaries. You might want to correct your inaccurate tweet, David.

"The British media is, by and large, not known for holding its security services rigorously to account, if at all." - Alan Rusbridger, former Guardian editor, June 2023 x.com/DAaronovitch/status/20… @medialens

Replying to @owenjonesjourno
The fucking security services maybe not. The real ones which keep you and I safe, I see no reason why not as long as people maintain their journalistic integrity. If you want to make a specific allegation Owen, make it.

I'm sure @zeteo_news will have a positive impact in the UK but it's noticeable many of these people are already (relatively) established commentators in the UK media. Would be good to get some new left-wing voices out there x.com/SangitaMyska/status/20… @medialens @mehdirhasan

🚨1. More professional news: I’m thrilled to be joining forces with @mehdirhasan and other colleagues to launch Zeteo UK. It’s a brilliant opportunity, alongside my other work, to help shape the fast growing independent media landscape with fresh perspectives and strong voices - rooted in solid journalism. @zeteo_news
