🌟 Join our PhD course: Introduction to Nutritional Metabolomics! 🌟
The PhD course will provide a general overview of LC-MS based untargeted metabolomics, with a focus on nutrition, and will introduce students to all phases of a nutritional metabolomics study, including sample handling, data analysis, and the use of freely available tools. It will be delivered through lectures, ands-on data preparation and analysis, computer-based practical sessions, discussions, and visits to wet labs (no practical lab work).

"ID probability is defined as 1/N, where N is the # of compounds in a reference library or chemical space (CS) that match"
I hold that conceptually N should be the *biologically plausible* CS to be considered in each case.

More biological knowledge can lower N, but can cause confirmation bias.
ID should be a game of exclusion and thus we ought to report what we have excluded and the space we have considered.
