So grateful for my time with .@DrivelineBB. I left with an incredible amount of knowledge, new arm slot, and a freak slider. With their pitch designing abilities & guidance from @drivelinebases@DanielMoskos@BaseballFreak_9 I was able to make this idea come to life #swordschool
Iâm waiting for the day there is a buyout to the universities who develop unbelievable talent, donât have the NiL dollars, and lose players.
Players getting paid is great. USC, UCLA, Cal Poly, etc, losing players that they developed into âSEC Levelâ talents need to be compensated to help with their own budget.
The disparity in funds is incredible between these schools.
NEW: Cal RHP Otto Espinoza has entered the NCAA transfer portal, @PeteNakos reports.
Espinoza posted a 3.69 ERA in 46.1 innings this season.

I love Carson Turnquistâs stuff from Cal Poly. As soon as he pumped up the crowd after the first inning you could have bet your house it was going to be a bad day. Immediately shifted the focus from the game to the environment. Thatâs what makes starters different. Canât lose your head. Thatâs fine if your job is done (1 inning bullpen arm), not when youâre still in the fight.
USCâs body language has been the best so far and itâs not even close. They have done an exceptional job coaching those boys to keep their focus
A lot of people glorifying low velocity success in regionals (WVU). Velocity isnât pitching. Velocity gets you in the door. Just like there are major leaguers that would not be first rounders in the draft today (or be recruited to the SEC), and not every first rounder will be a major leaguer.
Until velocity stops becoming the biggest indicator for success (highest probability of a recruit doing well at the next level), that will always be the gatekeeper for the big schools.
That being said. There is a reason Joe Ryan, Tarik Skubal, Chris Sale, deGrom, Schlittler, etc. all come from mid majors and have had outlier success in big leagues. There is no easily available metric for pitchability when the pressure is on
Jude Dravecky (â27 | AZ) Turns in a solid opener for Stacked Arizona in G1 of the #OrgChamp going 2IP, 0H, ER, K. Repeatable mechs, whippy arm, and present pitch-ability. FB w/ ride at the top, paired w/ a CB that spins well w/ bite, keeping off the barrel

Hate seeing pitchers struggle in big spots. Cal Poly pitcher has been nails all year. Struggled with command today and it boils down to his back foot.
Pitch on the left is good pitch on the right is bad, where he was most of the game. Itâs very hard to be consistent when youâre unplugging your back foot like that in leg lift, very easy to do on a turf mound and with some adrenaline. Hopefully he gets another shot to redeem himself
Thank you for spreading The Fascial Fist!! Itâs a âbiomechanical end gameâ position as far as creating fullest fascial integration systemically - removing all slack. Longest/Strongest. Each side.
@JaredDWilson itâs spreading organically, because itâs real⌠and it works.
Thank you to everyone testing for yourselves and sharing / spreading this in-formation.
Doesnât cost a penny⌠but it may challenge belief systems until a critical mass is reached - when the industry does honestly test for themselves rather than âreflexively rejectâ with zero personal experience.
âRevolutions donât come from the top down.â - @pntrack says.
However, results rule in the physical domain - which is why The Fascial Fist is spreading organically.
My Power Vest is also real⌠and the data being collected is proving its efficacy.
And the burden is on it to produce data, of course. Results rule.
However, those who refuse to test for themselves, and reflexively reject as is the unfortunate norm for so many (especially so many in positions of authority) will come around.
Not saying act like you have done it before, but crush it set the bat down, watch it and run around the basesâŚyou really donât have to bat flip it and stare at the dugout or punch a guy out and scream at himâŚyouâre hurting the team when not available to play.
Jaxon Olmstead (â27, CA) threw four perfect relief innings where he Kâd 9. Attacked with his upper 80s, T90 heater that showed a ton of life/carry through the zone. #USD commit. #CAKickoff
The graphic of average velocity in the regional being circulated is more of a reflection of coaching as opposed to âvelocity doesnât matterâ. There is no denying that having more velocity isnât a bad thing.
Having elite velocity isnât pitching. And it is awesome seeing the coaches that donât just cherry pick Perfect Game velocity ratings getting rewarded. They are developing minds, off speed in fastball counts, and execution over everything
The ECU pitcher absolutely dominating Tennessee through 3.
Coming off the mound starts show boating to the crowd.
4th inning he immediately gives up a tank.
Iâm all for playing with fire and emotion. But keep it to yourself until your job is finished. Humbling moment for him unfortunately but as the saying goes âlet sleeping dogs lieâ. That lapse in focus could cost them the game
