CEOs of AZ hospitals, large employers in the state, and critical component of AZ’s healthcare delivery system speak out against the State taxing hospitals $100M to offset other spending.
The House budget as introduced makes this $100M tax on hospitals permanent.
AZ Hospitals have been great partners to the state in helping fund coverage & access to care for Medicaid beneficiaries. The House budget takes advantage of our partnership and risks jeopardizing patient care.

I’m bringing @NativeHealthPHX CEO Walter Murillo as my guest to President Trump’s Joint Address tonight. Native Health has served thousands of patients at their community health centers, and many of those patients rely on Medicaid to pay for their treatment.
The Republican cuts to Medicaid will be devastating for the patients they serve.
