Last fall at a @JudiciaryGOP field hearing in Charlotte, I sat across from Stephen Federico, whose daughter Logan was killed by a career criminal with 25 felonies who never should have been on the streets. Fixing that kind of failure is a policy problem, and for too long soft on crime politicians have been making those policies while innocent families pay the price. Logan's Law is an answer to that, and I am proud to be an original cosponsor. This bill creates a publicly accessible database of violent criminal offenders and holds the judges and prosecutors who give career criminals a pass accountable to the American people. We owe that to Logan and every family who has lived this nightmare.
