Perhaps if we hadn't also closed down refineries, more North Sea oil would have had greater significance.
As a side note, fields like Cambo have heavier oil which is better for making diesel and jet fuel. So even at the margins, it might have helped.
Remarkable new levels of dishonesty from Kemi Badenoch. She surely knows that jet fuel supply is about global refining capacity, not the supply of crude.
More North Sea crude would do nothing to solve the global refined products issue.
