Many in person meetings with
@GovLauraKelly, her staff, and great partners with
@RenewKansas and dozens of emails. The admin knows this simple action would provide certainly and allow
@kscorn to recruit additional stations. But once again this administration turns it back on KS ag and consumers.
After initially joining, Kansas later backed out b/c Missouri wasn’t part of the E15 bloc, while Gov. Kelly said she would rejoin if Missouri did. Missouri did. Yet year after year, Kansas didn’t rejoin. Then, as recently as late Feb 2026, the Governor suggested Kansas would opt out if Congress didn’t act by yesterday. She didn’t. Now Kansas fuel retailers are left again w/o certainty on whether they’ll be able to sell E15 in summer 2027, certainty Gov. Kelly could have secured with the stroke of a pen. It unfortunately means station growth will stall & consumers will pay more for fuel. With today’s high fuel prices, state of our farm economy, bushels matter & gallons of biofuels like ethanol matter. This didn’t have to happen.
