Time to do some #E15 myth-busting! E15 has LOWER volatility/RVP than regular gas (E10) and LOWER (not higher) smog-forming potential in the summer. The problem: E15 is normally held to a more restrictive volatility standard than E10 in summer months. Year-round E15 legislation simply creates a permanent level playing field for both fuels.

More misinformation: year-round E15 is NOT A MANDATE. It allows retailers to sell more affordable fuel options all year. It’s extremely simple - a vote for E15 is a vote for lower fuel prices.
Expanding E15 (15% corn fuel) can increase demand for corn and require costly infrastructure upgrades -- factors that contribute to higher gas prices. More mandates. More cost at the pump.
