Under Corbyn, Labour lost 380 councillors in the 2017 local elections. There was massive pressure for him to step down with the results presented as a 'disaster' in the media and the right of the party. Starmer just lost 1,406 councillors. Let that sink in.

Horrific: Video shows an Israeli settler deliberately blocking the path of a Palestinian ambulance on a road in southern Nablus in the West Bank while it was transporting a critically ill person.

Hahahahah! Just seen this on FB: ---- Have you found yourself in the hideous position of having a Reform councillor? Here’s how you can help your brand new councillor settle into local government properly: email them this week with an actual council problem to solve. Got rubbish piling up? Email them. Bus vanished from existence? Email them. Streetlights dead? Email them. Care package delayed? Email them. Pavement like the Somme? Email them. Send them in by the hundred. Make sure they’re made very clear on what their job is. Being a councillor is not standing in front of the Union flag shouting about dinghies on GB News. It’s reading committee papers at midnight, attending meetings nobody enjoys, holding surgeries in church halls, and dealing with the endlessly glamorous world of drains, social care budgets and recycling disputes. Welcome to local government. The boats are in Kent. The bins are in your ward. The email address for your ward councillor can be found on your local council website as soon as it’s updated. Feel free to copy and paste to share wider.

“With these bullets fired by the occupation army from behind the yellow line for amusement, dozens have been killed and injured inside their tents: The child Ahmed was killed while having breakfast with his parents blood burst from his head and mouth. Fatima was killed while breastfeeding her baby. Hala was killed while writing her school lessons. And many others.”

Israel is now killing so many people in Lebanon so regularly that the media has lost interest. Much like it did in Gaza.

I'm glad it can finally be reported that Rajiv Menon KC, lead defence barrister in my daughter's (Filton 6) trial, is being *prosecuted* Judge 'Injustice' Johnson is trying to punish Rajiv for a brilliant speech in the 1st trial because it led to the jury refusing to convict.
One of my most popular articles ever included a long extract from a powerful closing speech by barrister Rajiv Menon during a Palestine Action trial in January. In the end, the jury refused to convict the six defendants. Menon is now on trial for that closing speech – for reminding the jury that they had a 350-year-old right in law to follow their conscience in reaching a verdict, even if it meant defying a direction from the judge to convict. Paradoxically, Menon joked in his speech that, because of that earlier legal principle, the judge, unlike his counterpart in 1670, could not lock them, the jurors, up were they to choose to follow their consciences. Instead, the judge is seeking to lock up the barrister. Does 2026 qualify as an improvement on 1670? It is believed that this is the first time a barrister has been tried for comments made to a jury in his closing speech. That should serve as a potent reminder of just us how authoritarian the current political moment is, and of how quickly long-established legal rights are being dismantled to protect British collusion in genocide. Read my article – and the part of the speech for which Menon is being tried – here: jonathan-cook.net/blog/2026-…

Yet another example of the big lie, Yorkshire Water's shareholders and not investing a penny over the next 5 years it's all coming from customers, funded directly from bill payers pockets. Next time someone tells you otherwise show them this.
So @YorkshireWater business plan for this 5 years is entirely funded from customer bills and the illegal inter company loan repayment…except of course the massive accrued debt interest payments. Turns out we don’t need the ‘investment ‘ which is printing money for shareholders

A British woman was stopped by police at a train station and told she was under investigation after a passenger on a train reported feeling uncomfortable and alleged she had made comments referencing the Holocaust. Police said they had received a text message alleging she had denied the Holocaust, and subsequently tracked her down and told her she was being investigated for a "racially aggravated public order" offence. The woman, Fiona Rose Diamond, an activist with anti-Zionist views, said she was expressing political views about the political ideology Zionism. She said she had just returned from an oncology appointment in London when she was met by British Transport Police at the station. She also said she believed the timing and circumstances were not a coincidence. The activist argued that anti-Zionism is increasingly being deliberately conflated with antisemitism in order to silence criticism of Israel and suppress dissenting political views in Britain. "I am more than entitled to hold beliefs about a political ideology," she said in the video, adding that her grandfather was Jewish. The incident has sparked renewed debate over free speech in the UK.

As the world looks elsewhere, Israel continues to exterminate Palestinians in Gaza. Days in days out. Shame on complicit western media and all complicit governments.
Massacres against Palestinian civilians in Gaza are still being carried out by Israel. Just minutes ago, another massacre occurred in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood.

So tired of @RoyalMail failing to deliver on time. Hospital appointments, magazines, letters from bank etc all late. One delivery per week only. Nowhere to complain to on their website. They really don't care and won't employ enough postmen/women to fulfil their obligations.
