We sincerely hope that the Government of Tunisia exercises the highest level of due diligence and institutional vigilance in its engagement with
@UNOPS.
At a time when serious concerns have been raised regarding governance, accountability, and the effectiveness of internal justice and whistleblower protection mechanisms within the organization, it is essential that partner countries safeguard their national interests, institutional integrity, and public trust.
International cooperation must be grounded in transparency, accountability, and respect for due process. These principles are not optional,they are fundamental.
We therefore trust that Tunisia will take all necessary measures to ensure that its partnership with UNOPS is conducted under strict oversight, with full clarity on risks, responsibilities, and safeguards.
Very productive meeting with Samir Abdelhafidh,
#Tunisia's Minister of Planning and Economy.
We discussed the already strong partnership between
@UNOPS and the government of Tunisia, and our commitment to advancing our work together on infrastructure and procurement.
