When someone has a cold or flu, we instinctively bring them homemade chicken soup. Why? Because it’s gentle, nourishing, easy to digest and made with real food. But when someone has autoimmune disease, metabolic dysfunction, gut issues or chronic inflammation, we completely forget that logic. It's a steady diet of refined carbohydrates, fast food and ultra-processed convenience food and nobody seems to make the connection. No wonder so many people never get better.

Everyone is talking about the cost of protein. 100g of protein from eggs? About $4. 100g of protein from ground beef? About $6.50. 100g of protein from Protein Doritos? About $7. But maybe that's the wrong question. The better question is: Which protein is more bioavailable? Which comes packaged with more nutrients? Which leaves you feeling full longer? Which requires a nutrition label to explain what's in it? A bag of chips can compete with beef on protein grams. It can't compete with beef or eggs on nutrient density.
Can confirm the new protein Doritos taste good! Almost identical taste, calories and fat as regular Doritos, but 10g of protein per serving instead of 2g, and 8g carbs instead of 17g. It's not diet/healthy food, it's junk food with a better balance, but that's still cool to me!
