I like to think @bfsrocks Debbie in 1985 is Stacy’s mom from @fountainsofwayn’s Stacy’s Mom.

Millennials are the elite generation because they cranked out 12-page essays the night before they were due. No ChatGPT. No Claude. Just lo-fi beats playing in the background, Black coffee at midnight, footnotes that were somehow correct, and pure delusion. Grade was an A minus. Period.

It’s a disservice to Michael B. Jordan and all the Best Actor nominees to continue peddling the lie that Chalamet lost because of his comments on opera and ballet. Voting had closed. Jordan deservedly won because his performance and presence garnered more enthusiasm from voters.

This morning I called James and congratulated him on becoming the Senate nominee. Texas is primed to turn blue and we must remain united because this is bigger than any one person. This is about the future of all 30 million Texans and getting America back on track. With the primary behind us, Democrats must rally around our nominees and win. I’m committed to doing my part and will continue working to elect democrats up and down the ballot.

20 years ago my first time working on a TV show, setting foot on a real set, was as an intern on Season 5 of Scrubs. Watching the reboot brings back so many memories. The hospital is gone, the show (and I) now live in Vancouver. But it feels like it never left. Thanks @VDOOZER

Yes. What the fuck. WHAT THE FUCK. YES. THIS IS AN EASY YES. Why in the ever living fuck would I ever in a million years consider taking an action that would help JD Vance win an election??

Ozempic has helped clarify who sees obesity as primarily a medical issue, like a cavity or injury, and who sees it as a sign of personal virtue.
Ozempic is the fastest-growing drug in America. We don't have a healthcare crisis. We have a personal responsibility crisis dressed up as a medical condition.

I’ve finally realized where the disconnect is. AI that can create video like this is truly technologically impressive. But it is not creatively impressive. The tech bros don’t see a difference between the two and are offended people are more interested in what an artist creates.

I'm not particularly concerned that they can turn the first book into 8 episodes. Thinking about it for 5 minutes by myself I come up with: Episode 1: "You're a Wizard Harry" Episode 2: "The Sorting Hat" Episode 3: "Quidditch" Episode 4: "Troll in the Castle" Episode 5: "The Mirror of Erised" Episode 6: "The Forbidden Forest" Episode 7: "Trials and Tribulations" Episode 8: "The Sorcerer's Stone" Give me a room of 6 writers and a couple of weeks and I'm not concerned. Whether its a good idea to make this series now, as opposed to another 10 years down the road, I don't know.

If the immigration “issue” was really about black & brown people “taking your jobs,” the powers that be wouldn’t be so damn eager to hand your jobs over to robots & artificial intelligence. It’s just about giving you someone to hate & think yourself better than. You’re not.

We're all fucked...
Lucasfilm Vice President Dave Filoni is pushing for Deepfake Luke Skywalker to feature in multiple future 'STAR WARS' projects. The long-term goal is reportedly to give him his own spinoff series by 2030. (Source: reuters.com/business/media-t…)

I'm not so much anti-AI, but anti grifters who pretend their mediocre creations are good to puff up an industry that is miles away from doing what they claim it can, and even farther away from creating actual meaningful content. These AI bros have bought into their own hype so much its embarrassing.

We live in the worst fucking timeline...
A new wave of AI influencers is starting now... Higgsfield just launched Influencer Studio, a free platform where anyone can create fully original AI characters that look real, move naturally, and perform on command. Unlimited customization. Real motion. Up to 30s HD video. And yes, you can get paid for their social media performance. Here’s how it works ↓

What kind of fucking psychotic bullshit is this? Can I not take care of my own kids? In a world where I don't have to work, I'd rather spend time with my kids. Stop trying to bring about some dystopian shitshow just because you don't understand human relationships, Musk.
ELON MUSK: "In the future, the robots will make so many robots, that they will actually saturate all human needs, meaning you won't be able to even think of something to ask the robot for at a certain point, like there will be such an abundance of goods and services. There'll be more robots than people. I think everyone on earth is going to have one humanoid robot because you would want a robot to watch over your kids, take care of your pet, take care of elderly parents. I'm very optimistic about the future. I think we're headed for a future of amazing abundance, which is very cool. Definitely we are in the most interesting time in history."

Ultimately it will matter to the consumer, as it decides what is going to be made in the future, sadly.
Oh, I’m not worried. But in my job as a film reporter, budgets matter. Because I report on THE BUSINESS of movies. Oh how I’d love for the movies to simply be my escape from the world… But I’m glad budgets don’t matter to you. They shouldn’t! But WE are different. And that’s OK!

It is actually what Netflix prefers to see in a script.
This is why I tell new screenwriters all the time: NO slug lines at all. Every character should open the scene by SAYING where they are and the time of day it is. It's cleaner.
