Outstanding and exciting talk about the mechanisms underlying and detection of small cell transformation by Dr. Catherine Meador @cbmeador @MGHThoracicOnc. Look out for her upcoming publication! 👀 🔥
The outlook for small cell #lungcancer is bright! #LungCancerAwarenessMonth
I am horrified by the killing of hundreds of Palestinian civilians in a strike on a hospital in Gaza today, which I strongly condemn. My heart is with the families of the victims. Hospitals and medical personnel are protected under international humanitarian law.
As we are on the verge of the abyss in the Middle East, I have two humanitarian appeals:
To Hamas, the hostages must be immediately released without conditions.
To Israel, rapid & unimpeded access for humanitarian aid must be granted for the sake of the civilians in Gaza.
We are devastated by the sudden loss of 2019 grad Will Shrauner, who was also a member of the @BUcards family. We honor his many contributions to the care of patients and his co-residents; we will miss him tremendously.💜
Will @wshraun was pure joy. So contagious. So warm. So charismatic. The kind of dude that is great company in an echo reading room AND on a midnight taco bell run after a night out. Always hyping up his friends. Time to honor you buddy. ❤️
Must develop pathways to transplant regardless of citizenship or ability to pay - this is the only ethical approach
We know that non US citizens that undergo heart tx have similar outcomes to citizens ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/…@mvaduganathan@sara_rm84 @ChuziSarah @WF_Parker
Ethical dilemma in #transplant: undocumented immigrants’ organs are donated to US citizens, yet those immigrants can’t be transplanted b/c of their illegal status. What to do? #ISHLT2021#ISHLTEarlyCareer@ISHLT
