Cancer cell derived CSF1 acts on macrophages via CSF1R to promote GDF15 secretion, which then activates sympathetic signaling via GFRAL/RET binding, promoting cachexia.
What an amazing two days of scientific sharing and idea generation at the 2025 PancMidwest Symposium. Many thanks to all who traveled to Ann Arbor. We're looking forward to new collaborations that will help us beat pancreatic cancer💜
Thrilled to be back in Boston for the AACR conference on Pancreatic Cancer and for the opportunity to present my work as an AACR Scholar in Training this evening! Find me at poster A007- I'd love to chat about all ive been working on!

It was an honor meeting @NCIDirector and @SenatorDurbin on Friday when we celebrated 10 years of @UCCancerCenter Pathways Programs. We are so proud of our trainees and the next generation of scientists that the @NCICancerBio supports.
Great to met with students and faculty at @UCCancerCenter who are conducting cutting-edge research in cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Thanks for all that you do.
Today I had the pleasure of speaking at @UCCancerCenter’s 10th Annual Summer Research Symposium. This terrific event brought together trainees from the center’s Pathway Programs, along with their support networks—family, research mentors, and stakeholders. spr.ly/6013YGFiT
