- Killing people is bad - 82 year olds who can’t speak probably should not run for reelection. - Game show hosts who instigated a violent coup shouldn’t be president. These views have proven surprisingly unpopular in 2024. Trying to listen and learn.

We need a Manhattan project to stop the media phenomenon of β€œThe Democratic Party is responsible for everything user based_stalin_1932 says on Twitter while the Republican Party is barely responsible for the things Donald Trump himself says”
Call me crazy but I don’t think being the party of β€œmurdering a father because of his job” is a great political choice.

There were 24 states that voted at least D 9 in the 2008 presidential election. Democrats had 59 Senate seats after this. Two yeas later they had 53 seats. Four years after that they had 46. There is definitely an R bias in the Senate, but things change faster than you think.
There are 24 states that voted at least R 10 in this election. It's a nearly guaranteed 48 senate seats for Republicans (currently not a single Democrat in any of them). Running independents like Osborn might become absolutely crucial to any chance breaking a GOP majority.

Oh look, Trump and MAGA lied for 4 years about a β€œstolen election,” and now we finally realized it was total BS. So funny πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ x.com/BALDG0KU/status/185467…

So we can all agree now that tariffs are bad? Fellow Democrats, we're not doing this protectionism thing anymore? Silver linings, I suppose.

Here is what I will say to everyone now: Please, be kind to each other. Do not drown the energy we need to fight in battles against each other. Whoever was right or wrong does not matter. We need to strengthen, not weaken, our coalition.

There will be no riots, there will be no insurrections. There will only be millions and millions of Americans who quietly say "I thought my country was better than this."

If present trends continue, this Trump victory will swamp all the micro-explanations. Shapiro as VP wouldn't have changed this. Keeping Arab-Americans in Michigan wouldn't have changed this. It's all the big stuff -- defeat in Afghanistan, a porous border, inflation, and (yes, this really matters) Biden's refusal to acknowledge reality and step aside in time for Democrats to have a real primary.

They’ll never have influence in the GOP again regardless of tonight.

Is this a bad time to mention that the theory of the case behind prominent establishment Republicans not engaging in this campaign so they can have influence over the future of the party was a misjudgment of disastrous proportions no matter the result?

It took several days to count every ballot in 2020, and it’s very likely we won’t know the outcome tonight either. So please keep a few things in mind as you make your voice heard today: – Thousands of election workers around the country are working hard today. Respect them. Thank them.Β  – Don’t share things before checking your sources.Β  – Let the process run its course. It takes time to count every ballot.
