the reason we don't have amazing triple A games is beacuse big studios like EA and Microsoft purchased every studio, milked them for one or 2 games, and then dismantled the team. This happened over and over and over. Now these teams no longer exist.

It’s honestly poetry that the entire FF7 Remake series took 7 years to release all three games. From Remake in 2020 to Revelation in 2027, absolutely amazing work ethic there.

Ah cool yeah looks like Destiny 2 did hit about a million players on the new final update. If we zoom back it's the biggest update since The Final Shape, but man I always forget how insanely huge the game used to be in the Prime of Destiny. Truly end of an Era of lootin and shootin.

Update about 1666 Amsterdam; they got caught using gen AI for both the cover art and in-game assets. They plan to patch out their oopsie so people will still buy it.
They haven't disclosed it's use on steam though, which I'm pretty sure is against steam's ToS. 👏
A number of people have raised questions or concerns to us about whether assets in our marketing and game use generative AI.
We have a dedicated team of over a dozen talented and experienced artists. With them, we looked into the assets in question and found that there were indeed some early versions of assets that made their way into the the prologue. This includes some in-game portraits and external marketing assets.
We are actively reviewing the assets in question. Human made versions will be released in an update dropping soon.
We own up to this oversight and apologize for any upset caused. Please be assured that the Early Access and full game will not include any assets generated by AI.
