Had the opportunity to talk with Dr. Mark Lewis @marklewismd today, a GI medical oncologist, cancer advocate, and one of the most influential voices in oncology on social media.
We discussed the rise of young-onset cancers, the importance of effective communication in medicine, and the growing role of social media in educating patients and the public about cancer.
I was especially inspired by Dr. Lewis's perspective on caring for patients not only as a physician but also as a fellow human being, and by his commitment to making complex medical topics more accessible.
