Stop calling them ‘Asian’ ‘grooming gangs’. They are not Japanese. Call them what they are. Predominately Pakistani Muslim rape gangs.

The funniest part about this is the consistent complaint of Black Americans of various minorities the world over (as well as in America) appropriating their unique history in the US to apply it to their own situations simply for political points. And unfortunately for them, liberals the world over see conflicts as 'who are the white people & who are the black people in this conflict?' (or perhaps nowadays, who are the Israelis & who are the Palestinians) So this framing has mileage as we can see in this droll survey.

I encourage people to read the survey questions to really understand the core framing of this endeavor: The equating of American & Indian minorities but in particular that the history & experience of Black Americans is equivalent to that of Indian Muslims. Black Americans came to America by way of chattel slavery & even after freedom went through legal discrimination by the State through laws like Jim Crow. This centuries long ordeal isn't shared by any other American racial minority save for Native Americans who underwent an adjacent catastrophe. OTOH, Indian Muslims were the elites of the subcontinent for much of that same time frame & instituted formal state discrimination against Hindus. Once elite status was lost, they successfully campaigned for the partition of the subcontinent on religious lines – a campaign rejected by the majority of Hindus who supported the secular Congress Party. Since the dawn of the Republic, Indian Muslims have faced precisely zero state mandated discrimination, but rather have exceptional legal carve outs for their benefit that the majority does not possess. This dishonest framing is exemplified in equating things like CAA – a fundamentally compassionate & necessary law to accelerate refugee status for religious minorities in India's neighboring Islamic States – to things like the US banning travel from certain Muslim countries or comparing BLM protests to CAA protests – both have fundamentally different aims and backgrounds. Funny enough, CAA has an American parallel in the Lautenberg Amendment, which similarly carves out accelerated refugee status for persecuted minorities from certain countries. All in all, this is clearly a pointed survey that sought to generate a simplified conclusion that the authors wanted rather than contour itself to the complex context of 2 extremely diverse and storied democracies.
An intriguing feature of the Indian American diaspora is the prominence of “Modi Democrats.” New paper w/ Devesh Kapur @kharibiskut asks whether IAs hold more liberal views on policy issues in the US & more conservative views on comparable issues in India link.springer.com/article/10…

opendesigner.io is a claude design alternative. It went from 0 to 66k stars in 52 days. Anthropic and OpenAI will get unbundled aggresively by open source initiatives that enable the user to directly use compute without Anthropic/OpenAI's margin.

not really unprecedented, one of the oldest running dialogues in history is "war is a massively complicated political, bureaucratic, and logistical endeavor" vs. "fuck you pussy, war is when you're a strong badass killer, oh shit I just lost" but still wild to see in real time

It remains an incredibly grim but admittedly very bleakly funny running bit that we got an administration obsessed with LETHALITY and WARFIGHTERS and then almost immediately had one of the most humiliating defeats in American military history
I'm crying Iran actually regime-changed America

The Second Treaty of Versailles? The first Treaty of Versailles ended WW1 and directly contributed to WW2…!

And signed his silly memo at Versailles!!!
When both the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal call out Trump’s Iran deal as a U.S. defeat, that’s telling.

Mainstream Indian nationalism is so retarded that nothingburgers like bhagat singh would be glorified beyond proportion by both left and right while an actual revolutionary like Gandhi will be hated by both for being too conservative🥱

As you read the Rape Gang Inquiry Report, you should remember two things: 1. This is an ongoing issue. This isn't about a thing that happened in the past. There are rape gangs operating throughout the entire United Kingdom as you read the report. 2. These rape gangs are operating all throughout Europe. There are cells just like this in Austria, France, Belgium and any other country where Islamic migration is prevalent. You don't hear about them because they're all being covered up.

🚨 LMFAO!! President Trump just dropped this hilarious line right in front of Indian PM Modi "So you look at this man. I'll give you a lesson. He's the most BEAUTIFUL-looking man. He looks so nice. He's like an angel!" 😭 "But actually, he's tough, he's a killer. He's as tough as they come. But he looks so good. So he gets you by surprise!" "There's a few people like this. People say he's such a nice man. He's very tough."

Department of War Restores U.S. Pacific Command Designation. CAMP H.M. SMITH, Hawaii — The Department of War announced today that the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) will officially restore its name to the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM). Originally established on January 1, 1947, by President Harry S. Truman, the command operated under the USPACOM banner for over 70 years, standing as the oldest and largest of the United States' unified combatant commands. Restoring the legacy USPACOM designation honors the command’s deep historical roots, fostering a sense of pride and collective spirit among all who serve in the Pacific. From its critical role in establishing the post-WWII regional security architecture to its coordination of joint forces during the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and countless humanitarian operations, the USPACOM namesake carries decades of military heritage and enduring regional partnerships. USPACOM’s vast area of responsibility—spanning from the waters off the West Coast of the United States to the western border of India—remains exactly the same. The command's fundamental mission and its unwavering commitment to maintaining a free and open theater alongside regional allies and partners are unchanged. dvidshub.net/r/zmngnb
