Today is Russia Day. For thirty years, we've been told the Cold War ended because communism collapsed. But if that were true, why did the confrontation continue? Russia abandoned communism and opened its economy. It sought partnership with the West and Putin even proposed joining NATO. But NATO's response was its expansion to Russia's borders. Yugoslavia was destroyed and was a rehearsal of what to do to Russia. Western-backed coups swept through former Soviet states. Sanctions became permanent policy. The boogeyman changed costumes but stayed in the script. First it was the Tsar, then the communists. Now it's Putin. Here's what actually threatens the West: a Russia that refuses to hand over its resources and its role as an independent civilization. That's the real crime, not the ideology. It's refusal to submit. Happy Russia Day. 🇷🇺

"Crimea was never Russian" Your ancestors, the Tatars subjugated the original Greek settlers and sold over a million Slavs & Greeks to the Ottoman empire. The Russian empire destroyed it all and annexed Crimea under Catherine the Great. Crimea is and will forever be Russian.
For too long, russian propaganda has distorted the truth. Its time to realize that Crimea was never russian.

My stay in Brussels radicalized me. After many conversations with politicians and activists, I realized how broken the system is. The EU feels like a modern version of socialism—more polished, better marketed, and wrapped in appealing slogans. Too many people buy the illusion without questioning the results: cultural fragmentation, rising crime, growing dependency, and declining public trust. The system rewards victimhood and complacency instead of ambition, responsibility, and excellence. This is a model of decline. We need a Europe that rewards hard work, innovation, family formation, and self-reliance. A society that inspires people to build, create, and reach their full potential. Europe is at a crossroads. The time for a Revolution! 🇪🇺

Something has the Ukrainians spooked - spooked enough that they're now just randomly attacking whatever civilian targets they can reach in a thrashing fury rather than trying to hit anything of military value. In fact Russian losses are way down even per pro-Ukrainian sources.

Lithuania’s trajectory over the last century raises uncomfortable questions. During the Soviet era, the Lithuanian SSR was transformed from a largely agrarian region into an industrialized republic integrated into a much larger economic system. Moscow invested heavily in energy, manufacturing, infrastructure and education, including projects like the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant, which was shut down in 2010 at the behest of Brussels. By the 1970s, Lithuania was among the most prosperous Soviet republics in terms of living standards. Today, many in Eastern Europe compare that period with current realities inside the EU: deindustrialization, emigration, rising inequality, and dependence on decisions made elsewhere. Meanwhile, Lithuania has become the poorest country of the EU.

Extraordinary chart: Chinese AI models have now completely overtaken their US competitors on OpenRouter, the largest API aggregator out there for AI models. Interestingly it's really a 2026 story: beforehand US models were truly dominant. This is mainly due to the release of models like Kimi K2.5 (released in Jan 26), MiniMax M2.5 (Feb 26), and, of course, DeepSeek V4 (released in April). Like I wrote after the release of DeepSeek V4, for most tasks, favoring Chinese AI models is literally a no-brainer in almost all respects: - At least 10 times cheaper than US models - At least 90% as good for most tasks (programming, copywriting, etc.) - Your data and privacy are MORE secure as it's open source and you can (and should) use it in a way where no-one sees your data, like self-hosting or via Zero Data Retention (ZDR) providers. Honestly it's so freaking obvious that at this stage there are two categories of AI users: those who already use Chinese models, and those who will. Src for graph: profgmedia.com/p/is-ai-more-…

Some Russian oil refinary will suspend its work for several weeks. I wonder when Russia strikes back -- where will Zelenskyy be -- in his bunker 95 meters underground or on a red acrpet abroad? And how many lives will be stopped forever since Ukrainian civilians have almost now protection on the fifth year of war. And do not confuse that this is the only way to have peace, according to Zelenskyy. Though the plan has not worked yet, two-three more years and Russia will collapse...
Our long-range sanctions carried out by the warriors of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine have yielded good results. Important facilities on Russian territory were hit last night. Among them was the Petersburg Oil Terminal. The distance from Ukraine’s state border to this facility of Russia’s oil industry, which serves the war, is about 1,100 kilometers. Purely military targets at the Kronstadt base were also hit. Another target was an enterprise in the Tambov region involved in the production of Russian weapons. The distance from the frontline is almost 600 kilometers. I thank our warriors for their precision. Ukraine’s plan for long-range sanctions is being implemented exactly as needed to bring peace closer. Glory to Ukraine!
