To accelerate the next wave of Karnataka’s startup growth beyond Bengaluru, the Dept. of E, IT/BT has announced the ₹75 crore Beyond Bengaluru Cluster Seed Fund. The idea is to ensure that strong founders outside Bengaluru get access to early capital and ecosystem support where they are based.
The fund has a total corpus of ₹75 crore, with a ₹20 crore commitment from the State Government and the rest mobilised through institutional and private participation. In the first phase, the fund will focus on Mysuru, Mangaluru, and Hubballi–Dharwad, with more clusters to be added over time.
The fund will make equity and equity-linked investments starting from ₹50 lakh per startup, in sectors such as IT, ESDM, biotechnology and AVGC. It will be professionally managed with a clear focus on job creation, exports and building a more decentralised and inclusive innovation economy across the State.
