The suffragettes *blew up* Lloyd George’s house! An indictment on how liberals remember history.
The Lady Chief Justice: Palestine Action was not a direct action civil disobedience protest group like the suffragettes, but used violence to destroy property The suffragettes burned down country houses & train stations, bombed churches & sent letter bombs to politicians.

De Niro: I hate to say it, but loving our country is starting to sound like an abused spouse saying they love their abuser. I can’t love a country that starts stupid and inhumane wars, killing thousands of innocents and indirectly causing the deaths and suffering of millions more. I can’t love a country that takes healthcare away from millions of people and uses that money to enrich their pals in the Trump-Epstein class. I can’t love a country that sends out masked militias to shoot citizens in the streets, torture our neighbors, and separate families. I can’t love a country that’s led by a racist, misogynist, xenophobic tyrant. And let me just say it: I can’t love a country that’s led by Donald Trump and his sycophant Congress.

BREAKING: The Court of Appeal has backed the government's appeal against the High Court and reinstated the proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation. As I've been noting for some time, this was always going to happen. The police ignored the High Court's ruling of proscription as unlawful and continued arresting people as terrorists for holding placards stating: "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action." On Friday, Judge Johnson upgraded the criminal damage convictions of the Filton Four to terrorism offences in his sentencing, even though at the time of sentencing Palestine Action was not, in the eyes of the courts, considered a terrorist organisation. It was as though the High Court decision never happened. We have been subjected to legal threatre to make it look as if the judiciary have carefully weighed our most cherished and basic rights against the interests of the British state in continuing its complicity in the Gaza genocide. This has all been a stitch-up to keep the focus on the faux-illegality of opposing a genocide rather than the very real illegality of the British state colluding in atrocities that have killed many tens of thousands – and more likely, hundreds of thousands – of civilians in Gaza. Anyone who has supported this dangerous farce should hang their heads in shame.

BREAKING: Tensions Are Escalating In Albania. After days of protests over a controversial luxury resort project, demonstrators in Rrjoll, northern Albania, tore down fencing surrounding the construction site. Protesters say land belonging to roughly 200 local families was confiscated to make way for the development. The confrontation comes as environmental and anti-corruption demonstrations continue to spread across the country. This is no longer just a dispute over a resort. It’s becoming a broader fight over land rights, political influence, and who benefits from Albania’s development boom.

The Greek prime minister said Chinese production capacity could destroy Europe. But the irony is obvious: This only becomes a “global threat” when China does it. The United States once accounted for around 50% of global manufacturing during World War II. After World War I, its share was already around 38%. Both were far higher than China’s share today. Back then, nobody called it “overcapacity.” Nobody said America was destroying the world. Nobody demanded Washington shrink itself for the comfort of weaker competitors. It was called leadership. It was called productivity. It was called the reward of industrial power. But when China reaches 30% through factories, infrastructure, supply chains, engineers, workers, ports, grids, and industrial discipline, suddenly Europe discovers the word “danger.” Please. China did not destroy European industry. Europe hollowed itself out. Europe outsourced production. Europe worshipped finance, regulation, luxury branding, and green slogans while letting its industrial base decay. Then China kept building. Now the countries that gave up manufacturing are angry at the country that did not. In the end, this is what happens when Western undercapacity meets Chinese competence. They call it “Chinese overcapacity.”

THE FILTON TRIAL: Sentencing Outcome Draconian sentences were passed by Judge Jeremy Johnson against four Palestine Action activists today at Woolwich Crown Court, each with a terrorist connection, which will mean they will be subject to special terrorist notification requirements for a further 15 years after their release. For the charge of criminal damage, Charlotte Head and Leona Kamio were given sentences of six years. Fatema Zainab Rajwani and Sam Corner received sentences of five years and eight months. Sam Corner received an additional three-year sentence, to be served consecutively, for GBH. Because of the terrorist element, they will all have to serve two-thirds of their sentences, and a Parole Board will have to decide whether they have rescinded their views. Because they have been on remand, the three women have already served 21 months, and Sam has served 25 months. Judge Johnson recently received a promotion to the High Court.

Justice Jeremy Johnson will go down in history alongside Percy Yutar who sent Mandela & his comrades to jail for life, alongside all the apartheid South African judges who shamefully jailed activists for opposing the system. Despicable & indefensible
This is an affront to British justice & democracy. This is what Starmer, Lammy & Cooper have created in Britain: a system that represents Netanyahu & Elbit Systems rather than the interests of the British people, the vast majority of whom want to stop arms sales to Israel. The right to protest is dead, the right to an open & honest trial is dead. The right to be on the side of peace & human decency rather than genocide, is dead

Scale of sentences on the 4 young people who took direct action against the arms supplier to Israel is truly shocking. To impose years of imprisonment for protesting to save lives in Gaza is unjust, especially sentencing on terrorist grounds they were never convicted of by a jury

🚨BREAKING: Filton 4 sentenced as terrorists Amnesty opposes the use of terrorism powers in this case. It is completely disproportionate to punish protesters for criminal damage as if they were terrorists, a sentence which stays with you for life. The defendants in today’s case were sentenced as terrorists because prosecutors want to make an example of them. Today's decision shows how direct action protesters could be treated in the future. The use of terrorism laws against direct action protesters must end. Together we must continue calling out the abuse of power and fighting for our right to protest. The #Filton4 is a miscarriage of justice in the making.
BREAKING: Justice Jeremy Johnson has ruled that the Filton 4 will be sentenced as terrorists – even though two juries refused to convict them of violence charges over their efforts to disable an Israeli factory in the UK making killer drones for use in Gaza. They were found guilty of a minor charge of criminal damage. Judge Johnson kept the jury in the dark of his plans to sentence the four as terrorists. This is the first time in British legal history that anyone has been sentenced as a terrorist for damaging property. It's a very dark moment in an increasingly authoritarian Britain. Thousands of legal professionals complained about Johnson's clear abuses of legal procedures to help the government's case for proscribing Palestine Action as a terrorist group. Johnson has now proved this was always a show trial. I explain how he rigged the two trials here: jonathancook.substack.com/p/…
